MLB Legend Darryl Strawberry Raises Money for Autism

Darryl-StrawberryThe game of baseball made Darryl Strawberry a house hold name during his legendary career spanning almost 30 years while capturing 4 World Series crowns.  Now Darryl Strawberry utilizes the success he had on the diamond to raise money for a cause dear to his heart, Autism.

Strawberry founded “The Darryl Strawberry Foundation, Fight for Autism” to gather donations for Autism research.  Strawberry plans to raise money for the cause in the “5th Annual Darryl Strawberry Celebrity Golf Tournament”, September 20, 2011 in Eisenhower Park Red Course – East Meadow, NY.

Last year Strawberry appeared on Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” television show, proving himself to Trump as a team player which earned him a sizeable donation to the “Darryl Strawberry Foundation”.

Strawberry has had many successes in his life as he’s the author of a book “Straw: Finding My Way” which made New York Times and Los Angeles Times best-seller list.  He’s won 3 World Series Championships with the New York Yankees and one with the New York Mets and he would like nothing more than to be a contributor to the cure of Autism- something he wants to see happen in his lifetime.

There is still time to sign up as a sponsor for “The Darryl Strawberry Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament” or sign up to participate.  It’s fun with celebrities for a great cause.
