Sarah Palin Thinks She Can Win The Presidential Election

Sarah Palin covers the latest issue of Newsweek and says that she’s sure she can win the next Presidential election. Oh the humanity.

I’m a firm believer that a person should be elected to the office of Commander In Chief, if, and only if they are qualified for the position. Sarah does not strike me as a person who is qualified.

By all accounts, the Presidential office has been one that has been held by men since we gained our independence. Up until Barack Obama ran and won, it was only held by caucasion men. Now that he has set a precedent in breaking down the racial lines, we surely could use a woman in the Oval Office.

Yes, it’s time for a woman President. Just not Sarah. Hey, she can see Russia from her house, remember? Or how about reading “all” of the magazines for her daily source of news. Sound like a winner to you?

She sure seems to think so. She blathered on to Newsweek, saying that she could take the whole kit and caboodle. She said, “The people of America are desperate for positive change, and deserving of positive change, to get us off of this wrong track. I’m not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around. But I do believe that I can win.”

And what would hold her back from running? She answered that by saying, “Family. If it came down to the family just saying, ‘Please, Mom, don’t do this’, then that would be the deal killer for me, because your family’s gotta be in it with you.”

Let’s hope that it’s more than family that keeps her in her reality show drama and out of political office. We are ready for a woman President, it’s just not Sarah Palin.

/Rant over.
