Selena Gomez has complained about the pressures and pains of being in the spotlight – somebody gag me with a spoon! Poor Selena says that life in the spotlight can make her “nervous and intimidated.”
If you don’t want to be in the spotlight then why become a huge celeb singer and actress – why date the biggest star in the world today, Justin Beiber?
“You have this pressure to fit in and you want people to like you. I try my best to be a good person and be the best I can be,” she said.
Gomez goes on to reveal that she has been told she has no potential for stardom. As hard as it is to believe, she says it’s not a completely unusual occurrence.
“I had someone tell me that today,” she said. “I think the Internet can be a great thing but also really evil. Something can instantly hurt your feelings.” “I’m 19, so I feel like everything that I’m doing right now should not be taken too seriously. I should be able to have fun and enjoy where I’m at! So I don’t want to spend my time hiding or worrying about all of that.”
