Michael Jackson‘s mother, Katherine Jackson, is planning a big tribute concert for her late son to be held in Cardiff, Wales. Katherine has reached out to some of the very biggest stars in music today in hopes that they will perform at the tribute show.
Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Cee Lo, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Bruno Mars and others have received invites from Katherine.
Michael’s mom is asking them to perform one or two of their favorite Michael Jackson songs at the concert on October 8 and in return is promising “first class travel accommodations.”
So far, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, and Bruno Mars have said no – that is they have respectfully declined due to scheduling conflicts.
Cee Lo Green has already committed.
Tickets to the event have not gone on sale yet, but it’s still very early. Promoters say they will become available once a complete line-up is booked.
Does anybody want to hear Justin Bieber singing Michael Jackson’s songs? I know I don’t.
