Tudors Star Jonathan Rhys Meyers Attempts Suicide

Troubled Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers was taken to the hospital after a suspected suicide attempt.  Jonathan, 33, has been battling a alcohol addiction problem for years and was back in rehab in May for the fifth time. He recently said about his alcohol abuse: “When I do drink I’m like Bambi. I’m all over the place like a 16-year-old kid.”

Jonathan is believed to have downed a bottle of pills at his Maida Vale, London home and was taken to hospital by ambulance after a suspected suicide attempt.  The Sun UK reports: “Paramedics answering a 999 call found him slumped on the floor. But they had to call police after he refused treatment at the scene for more than 30 minutes.” He was discharged in the early. Asked later how he was, red-eyed Meyers said: “No comment.” He is such a talented actor I hope he recovers quickly and is able to get his demons under control and is able to find the peace he is looking for.
