Dancing with the Stars 2012 Recap: Season 14 Week 8, 5/7/12

Dancing with the Stars 2012 Recap: Season 14 Week 8, 5/7/12

Dancing with the Stars returns tonight with a whole new episode.  The competition heats up as the remaining six couples hit the ballroom with two rounds of competitive dance performances, a ballroom dance and the Trio dance — both of which will be a style that they’ve not yet performed.

On last week’s episode we had to say goodbye to another contestant, Jaleel White  & professional dancer, Kym Johnson.   If you missed Glady’s final performance or any of last week’s performances you can see them HERE!  If you missed last week’s episode you can read our full and detailed recap here!

The remaining six couples will have two dances, the ballroom dance and the Trio dance. During the Trio, a ‘DWTS’ first – the couples will choose an extra professional dancer to join their routine who was either an eliminated pro or member of The Troupe.

Here are the dances the couples will be performing tonight: Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd dancing the Tango and Jive (with Karina) and Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower dancing the Foxtrot and Paso Doble.

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough will take on the Waltz and Samba.  Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas will dance the Viennese waltz and Cha Cha.  Melissa Gilbert and Maks Chmerkovskiy will dance the Foxtrot and Samba and lastly William Levy and Cheryl Burke will take on the Foxtrot and Paso Doble.

By Tuesday evening’s end, two couples will be eliminated, as determined by a combination of the judges’ scores and viewers’ votes on dances performed on Monday’s performance show.  Who do you think will be sent home with 2 eliminations.  I am guessing Roshon and Melissa or Roshon and Maria.  Hit the comments and let us know your predictions.

We will be live blogging Dancing With The Stars tonight with all the up-to-the-minute details at 8PM EST so make sure to come back to this spot and watch the show with us.  Refresh often to get the most up-to-date results!
