We’ve all waited with bated breath for the last two months to hear what Katie Holmes would have to say about her split from Tom Cruise. Until now she has kept her mouth shut just like Tom and his fellow Scientologists had hoped she would, but eventually Katie would give an interview somewhere and all of those inevitable questions would be put on the table.
It’s Fashion Week in NYC and as many know, Katie has a clothing line, Holmes & Yang, with business partner, Jeanne Yang. She sat for a lengthy interview with Women’s Wear Daily and naturally, the asked about her split. Katie isn’t saying much at all but did offer up a little bit of her perspective,
“I have a lot of feelings about the press,” she said with a smile. “There are a lot of people with much bigger problems and who are less fortunate. I try to keep it all in perspective.”
I have to say, I’m impressed. She split from one of the biggest (control freaks) stars in Hollywood, fought hard to keep her daughter Suri from being placed under the thumb of a cult and still sees that it’s not the end of the world. Life goes on and most people have a much harder life than whatever she’s dealing with at this time. She gets major points for at least making her one quote be a tactful one.
That said, I don’t know about you, but I still want the dirt on what really transpired between Katie and Tom! I want the details on what made her take Suri and run from Scientology, don’t you? Do you think we’ll ever get that information from Katie? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
