Lady Gaga Partners with Virgin Mobile for "Born This Way" Tour to Encourage Social Outreach and Empower Fans to Do Good!

Lady Gaga is working to get her Born This Way Tour going and we’ve recently learned that she will, once again, be teaming up with Virgin Mobile in the U.S. to present her crazy and unusual tour to the masses. Through this celebrated and award-winning partnership, Mother Monster and Virgin Mobile will educate thousands upon thousands of concert goers on the topics of youth homelessness, primarily in LGBT communities — all while emphasizing her Re*Generation program and her Born This Way Foundation.

During each concert, one guest will have $5,000 donated to a youth homeless shelter on his or her behalf, and they’ll also have the chance to increase the amount given if they socialize the cause via social networking or volunteer his or her time. In addition, the winner will also get a very special surprise from Lady Gaga herself. Now how bad could that be? Pretty fantastic, right?

Other concert goers will also have the opportunity to help raise money for these causes. Concert goers can tweet pictures of themselves at the concert and, for every tweet Virgin Mobile USA receives, they will donate $1.00. Canada will also be setting up a similar service via text message, where fans can donate to help these causes.

“There’s nothing stronger than the bond Lady Gaga has with her fans,” says Ron Faris, Virgin Mobile USA brand marketing director. “Every day, she inspires her fans to express themselves in new ways – to do more – and to always think of those less fortunate than themselves. It’s an ethos we share deeply at Virgin Mobile. And when we think of all the unique and crazy ways we use smartphones to connect fans to the things they love most (both on and off this tour), we’ll look to Lady Gaga as our model of inspiration.”

Lady Gaga is one of the craziest pop stars in the world — and she’s inspired countless other stars to express their quirky individuality. We hope this clever campaign goes well. It seems like it will definitely get concert goers participating in the concert scene in a different, fun, helpful way. Are any of you going to one of her 2013 shows? If so, don’t forget to take a picture of yourself and tweet it!
