Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Gender Confusion, Blood Obsession: Quirky or Problematic?

Six-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is comfortable in his her own skin. Like any normal kid, she love animals, exploring outside, and teasing her siblings—but is it normal if the punch line of the joke is a dead tarantula? And is it normal when mom, super glamorous Angelina Jolie supports it, by gifting a taxidermy bird to her daughter?

Let’s all remember a short decade ago, when Angelina wasn’t the glamazon that she is now. Remember her blood necklace? She certainly knew how to get our attention, and Shiloh does too. And while the child version of attention seeker (a Jezebel source reported that she relishes a scraped knee as a chance to bleed) may be more down in the dirt than her mom’s red carpet antics, can you doubt that Shiloh will be making a name for herself one day?

Perhaps least startling is that Shiloh dresses like a boy—from head to toe. No peep of pink or purple or sequins (what is the millionaire equivalent of sequins? Diamonds?) has peeked out from her outfit in living memory. I think it’s great that Branjelina aren’t using Shiloh as a Barbie doll, the way some parents do.

And, if Shiloh ultimately realizes she is more comfortable as a transgender or lesbian, she definitely has the most supporting, loving parents to help her on that road!

But I say she is only six—not to discredit her decisions—and that, with parents like hers, she can do whatever the hell she wants!
