Attention all future and faithful Panem citizens! I repeat, attention all citizens of Panem! The finalized version of The Hunger Games movie poster has just hit the web and my-oh-my does it look fantabulous.
The poster features an intense portrait of Katniss Everdeen, played by the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence. She’s holding her signature bow, armed with an arrow pointed directly at the audience, and her intense visage says that she means business.
The studio’s design department has done such a grand job with capturing the intense, vibrant, dangerous atmosphere the film (and Suzanne Collins’s story) works to convey. While I do think they could have perhaps created a poster that incorporated other characters, like perhaps Peeta and Gale (to emphasize the heart wrenching love triangle so present in the story), this is truly a Grade-A poster. Simple. Vibrant. And filled with WOWness.
The movie is set to hit theaters on March 23rd, but tickets for midnight premieres will sell long before that date, so make sure to get them as soon as the box office releases them. Let us know what you think of the movie poster!
