In Bravo‘s endless attempts to bring ridiculous docuseries to the masses, they’ve produced a new winner about high society young ladies living with their parents while trying to navigate the world on their own and make a name for themselves. The show is called Princesses: Long Island — clearly set up to launch a potential franchise, should the show work. So, erm, basically, we can’t wait to watch this.
Here’s the show synopsis:
“Princesses: Long Island” documents the lives of six college-educated young women from affluent areas of “Longuyland” who live pampered lifestyles in the comfort of their parents’ homes and at the expense of their bank accounts. The series offers a window into their family dynamics and personal lives filled with labels, luxury and love trials. The young women face pressure from their families and friends to find husbands and to settle down. Will these members of the boomerang generation find their Prince Charming or are they forever content with their co-dependent relationships with their parents?
And now let’s meet 26-year-old Amanda Betoncini!
At only 26 years old, Amanda works hard for her tiara running her own high-fashion drink holder company called The Drink Hanky. Amanda has a passion for fashion and sees every day as an opportunity for a photo shoot. Amanda balances her brutal honesty with a big heart and an even bigger laugh. Her independence and leadership stem from being the oldest sister in a divorced home.
She lives with her spunky mom in Great Neck who loves injecting herself into Amanda’s fabulous life. Amanda stays in shape with her workout partner and boyfriend, Jeff, who she met on the Long Island Railroad. The envy of many single Long Island ladies, she found her prince charming and can’t wait for their future life together. Despite the comforts of living at home and having a boyfriend, Amanda plans to grow her empire and stay in the spotlight.
