Amber Holcomb Voted Off American Idol Season 12

19-year-old Houston, Texas native Amber Holcomb hit the stage last night on the Top 4 of American Idol.  For her “Oldie” song Amber sang, “My Funny Valentine” by Mitzi Green/Chet Baker and she blew the judges away. Nicki said, “she was up there looking like a beautiful budding red rose. From the set to her outfit to her poise and she’s up there looking like she wants to cry. That was a great job.”  Sadly, her Idol dream has come to an end and she was sent home on American Idol tonight.   Did you watch tonight’s show?  We did and we recapped it here for you.

Amber previously auditioned for American Idol in season 11, but was cut in the Las Vegas round, where she was grouped with fellow season 12 finalist Curtis Finch, Jr. and season 11 finalists Shannon Magrane and Joshua Ledet.

Did you see her performance last night?  If you missed it we have her performances and all the performances from last night here!

Amber Holcomb sang for her “New” song, “Just Give Me A Reason” by Pink. Nicki said she was free-spirited in her video footage, but there is a big difference between that girl and the girl who performed the song. Try and do a better job and bring the girl that people love into her performances. Randy said everybody’s thinking about the end and asked if she was having fun. That was not stellar. Mariah said it has to be stellar at this point, but they need to see the confident Amber they’re used to. Keith said she’s a phenomenal singer. He loved the clarity in her voice and it was fantastic.
