However you may feel about Brandi Glanville one thing is certain – she is open and honest about her pain, faults, and struggles. On her Podcast One Show she has a segment where she takes calls. During her most recent show one caller commended her for “holding it together,” while going through a very public and painful divorce and Brandi responded, “Oh, honey, I did not hold it together.”
In 2009 Brandi found out that her then husband Eddie Cibrian with whom she has two children – Mason and Jake – was having an affair with his Northern Lights co-star LeAnn Rimes. At the same time the affair that Eddie had with a waitress and Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie also came out. Needless to say it shattered Brandi’s world because she said she thought that they had a healthy relationship. Brandi and Eddie – who at the time called his affair with LeAnn a “speed bump” and professed his love for his family – tried to work it out but by then their union had been broken beyond repair.
Brandi said this about going through a divorce, “I think that you have to go through a dark time to come out of it. You have to mourn. I think time heals.” She also credited her two boys for giving her a reason to not just go on but to begin to thrive again saying, “Those little men saved my life.”
It has been over four years since her world was shattered and her family fell apart and although she may be over Eddie, the scars of his infidelity have not completely healed. Like others that have been in her situation Brandi has built up walls in an attempt to protect herself from getting hurt. Understandably if you have been cheated on so extensively you will harbor trust issues and she said, “I have all these trust issues, and every time I’m dating someone and he’s not answering his cell phone, my head goes straight back to that place of not believing him or trusting him.”
Brandi who has previously said she does not wish to ever get married again is content right now just to be a mom as she continues working on herself; and if the right comes along … well then all the better.
