Kate Middleton and Prince William will soon be moving into their new home in Kensington Palace, and they have set aside accommodation for Carole Middleton to move in as well.
A new report from the Mirror states that Will and Kate have set aside almost a million pounds on a two-bedroom ‘granny flat’ that will be connected to their own home in Kensington. The accommodations are all under renovation right now, but Will and Kate are staying at Bucklebury with Carole and Kate’s family until the renovations are complete.
However, this is interesting, right? The fact that Will and Kate want Carole to stay with them is very interesting. It means that they want to keep the use of nannies and maids to a minimum, and they’re trying to make sure that Prince George is surrounded by close family and friends, a departure from traditional royal behavior.
I also wonder how Camilla Parker-Bowles feels about this – considering that Carole will be in this baby’s life a LOT more than she will be. Initially, reports stated she wasn’t even too happy about Prince George staying at Bucklebury, but there’s isn’t too much influence on a child when they’re still days and weeks old. But it’s when they get older that they start to choose favorites. And in this case, if Carole is actually living with George and will be staying over often, it’s obvious that both Will and Kate prefer her there, and George probably will too. Poor Camilla. Shunned by everyone, including her own family. She’ll have Prince Charles to comfort her though, and I’m sure she’ll figure out a way to manipulate everything to her advantage if the crown passes to Charles.
