So this is actually happening. Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner are legitimately trying to convince people that they’re fashion designers coming out with a clothing line. Are you buying it?
To be fair to them, they are starting small with a back-to-school line distributed by PacSun. The problem is, most of their clothing that they supposedly designed can’t be worn to school. The line consists of short skirts and small tops, most of which will invariably break most public school dress codes. Also, the Jenner girls don’t go to school – they know all they need to already.
Also, does anyone really believe that Kendall and Kylie ‘designed’ these clothes? They couldn’t even stay in school – would they have the discipline to finish a clothing line? Contrary to some people’s belief, fashion takes a lot of hard work and discipline, and those are two traits that are very lacking in the Kardashian family.
Obviously, Kylie and Kendall do seem to have a very passionate fan following among teenagers, which is why their clothing has so far been doing well. They are technically brand ambassadors for Seventeen magazine, which is read by a huge number of teens, and they have both amassed quite a Twitter following. But will that fan base carry through to their clothing sales?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t most parents still have a say in what their kids buy at such a young age? I have a hard time believing that parents would let their children wear most of the clothes in Kylie and Kendall’s clothing lines. But then again, it’s not inconceivable to believe that a lot of parents these days have a laissez-faire attitude towards their teen children – include Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner.
