Kate Middleton and Prince William have the task of picking suitable godparents for their son Prince George. There will most likely be a total of six people assigned to the honor of guiding the heir to the throne, three godfathers and three godmothers.
The newest prince is excepted to be christened at the same place his dad was 31-years ago, the Music Room at Buckingham Palace. The big question surrounding the christening of Prince George is who will be his godparents? As I am sure you can imagine it is not only a big deal to be chosen but it is important that William and Kate pick the most suitable people to help guide their only child.
Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton are at the top of the list and both will most likely be the first choice by the new parents. That still leaves four more decisions to be made. The list of possible contenders is lengthy from her brother, to other Royal Family members, to close friends of both William and Kate, to finally members from other Royal families, Greek Royals for example it is clear that deciding the final four could be a very tough decision. There is even the slight possibility that one of Camilla Parker-Bowles kids could get a spot as a tribute to her – but only if Queen Elizabeth absolutely insists!
I couldn’t even imagine having six godparents, much less having to choose six godparents for a child. There is no doubt that this decision will be carefully thought out from multiple angles that will include not only what is best for Prince George but the Royal family as well. Plus it is very clear that Kate intends to have her family and friends involved in her son’s life, so that adds a whole other layer to the decision making process.
