Prince George's Godparents Chosen: Kate Middleton and Prince William's Reveal The Shortlist

Kate Middleton’s son, the royal baby, Prince George Alexander Louis is making headlines again! He can’t even walk yet but the world has been fascinated with his every move since his birth on July 22. His christening on October 23 will be another big day for Prince George. Everyone wants to know who his godparents will be and who made it on the guest list for the big event.  Needless to say the list of godparents is a proper subset of the list people attending George’s christening.

We don’t have the final guest list yet but we do know who isn’t coming. Prince Andrew and Prince Edward got the royal snub along with Prince William’s aunts Princess Anne and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex.

Sources say that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge want to have an intimate ceremony. All of their close relatives will all be in attendance but their more distant family and royal officials will be left off the list. We’re expecting to see Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker-Bowles, and Prince Harry come from William’s side. Kate’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, her sister Pippa, and brother James are also sure to be in attendance.

What does the Queen think of George’s exclusive invite list? Sources close to the Royal Family say that she is happy that William and Kate are doing things their own way. When they were frustrated with the original guest list for their wedding, she told them to toss it out and make their own. Who knew the Queen was so unconventional?

What do you think? Are you bored with the Royals or are you waiting for George’s next photo op?
