Prince George’s Official Christening Royal Family Photos

Prince George's Official Christening Royal Family Photos

How adorable is Prince George? The official portraits from the Royal Christening were released and each of the four portraits contains something delightful. The one with George, Prince William and Kate Middleton is the most interesting, largely because of the smiles on Kate’s and William’s faces and George’s adorable playfulness. Despite everyone joking about how ‘grumpy’ he was most of the time [the poor baby had to wear an itchy lace dress!], he definitely looked happy to be in his parents’ arms and posing for the camera, throwing his arms up in the air.

Then, another one showed him with his parents, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and Camilla Parker-Bowles. This one’s especially notable because the Queen is smiling. Yes, stop all the presses, little Georgie made the Queen smile, and she’s not even looking at the camera, too entranced by her grandson.

Then, there’s a portrait with just the Queen, Prince Charles, and William holding his son – the next generation of heirs. And finally, for the final portrait, the entire family is posing together, including the royals and the Middletons. Everybody’s smiling and if we didn’t know any better, it could be a portrait of any impeccably well-dressed British family posing with the newest addition to their family.

All the portraits were taken at Kensington Palace, taken by photographer Jason Bell in the Morning Room at Clarence House. It was an intimate affair, much like the Christening itself, where only 23 guests were present.

What do you guys think about the official portraits? Don’t you just want to pinch little George’s cheeks?
