Rock musician Ted Nugent is firing back at the media for portraying him as a racist for the comments he made this week about Trayvon Martin and Stevie Wonder in the context of the George Zimmerman murder trial. The media is portraying him badly and Ted says that it has nothing to do with the words he said, is this guy for real? He says he is being misunderstood.
This week has a been a week of Ted speaking his mind. He started the week by bashing the media for calling him a racist. He defended himself by basically saying he isn’t but more than that he talks about how much he personally has done to help promote black artists blah blah blah. The next day he put his foot in his mouth again when he told Nick Cannon that Trayvon Martin was a”gangsta wannabe”.
It gets worse for the man who calls himself not a racist. On Thursday Nugent said Wonder was “brain-dead” for boycotting Florida over its stand-your-ground-law. He then tried to explain his remark with the explanation below:
“Stevie Wonder’s enrichment to society and my life personally. I have nothing but reverence for the great man. I just think it’s hypocritical, it’s dishonest, because you can’t boycott places that believe in self-defense.”
Sure he gives Stevie props but I mean it is a pretty weak apology if you ask me. Ted of course couldn’t keep his mouth shut and had to just keep trying to further defend himself by calling the people who call him racist, racist. Someone should really tell him to be quiet, we all know he won’t but seriously he said these things and now he is wants to blame the media for portraying him badly. Everyone has the right to speak their mind but then don’t try to blame the media because your own words are being spouted all over the media. Think before you speak Ted, that is all I have to say.
What are your thoughts on the fact that Ted is now blaming the media for taking the words he spoke wrongly? Tell us what you think in the below comments section.
