In case you don’t have enough crazy reality TV drama to catalyze that summertime slacking, then you should definitely drop everything you’re doing and consider checking out The Only Way is Essex, a ridiculous reality TV series premiering exclusively on Hulu and Hulu Plus. The Only Way is Essex has been a whopping hit in the UK and has already amassed a generous international fanbase that likens the show to The Hills and our running fave Jersey Shore. Who doesn’t love a little drama reminiscent of our fave guidos?
The season premiere, along with the entirety of season 4, was released Monday, June 17th on Hulu. You have a lot to look forward to in the first episode and because of the neat Hulu-style setup, you won’t have to stop watching after just one episode. The stories of these partying socialites will have you intrigued, laughing, and
shamefully coming back for more.
Previous seasons have featured plenty of unforgettable moments, and we hear the drama and scandalosity this time around will be juicier than ever. Not-so-subtle playboy Mario Falcone struggles to get over last season’s blowup when his girlfriend, glamour model Lucy Mecklenburgh, cheated on him with fellow cast member Mark Wright. That was a bad day.
Additionally, the relationship between musician James “Arg” Argent and his on and off again fashion designer girlfriend Lydia Bright continues to struggle. How much longer will the relationship last? Will it soon mark the end of this couple for good? Needless to say, the entire cast of the show will be thrown onto the roller coaster ride of their lives; so ready the barf bags people, because people are going to lose it.
Apparently, this show was supposed to have made popular “vajazzling,” which basically is the practice of bedazzling one’s nether region. So, I guess you can thank the dear, sweet, British folks of Essex for those sparkly surprises.
Tune into Hulu to catch the newest seasons of TOWIE. If you are a Hulu Plus subscriber, all episodes of seasons 4, 5, and 6 will be available for viewing on June 17th. Check it out. Be sure to let us know what you think!
