The Vampire Diaries season 4 is heating up in all sorts of ways, and I suspect tonight’s episode is only going to deliver more bloody drama. Last week we saw Klaus and Damon desperately trying to assist Jeremy in completing his Hunter’s mark, which, as we now know, creates a map to this ever-mysterious vampire cure that everyone and their brother wants for Elena. Well, actually, everyone wants this freakin’ cure — all for different reasons of course. Then there’s Professor Shane, whose ambiguous character is really throwing me for a loop. I’m almost positive he’s a bad dude. However, I’m still not sure if he’s Silas. Some nights I think he is, others not so much.
The CW recently released a new sneak peek for Vampire Diaries season 4 episode 13 “Into the Wild” and it features our band of merry crazies docking on a mysterious island that has been booby trapped with ancient, unexplainable magic. Clearly, the island, supposedly the location where the cure is held, doesn’t like thieves.
On episode 13, Professor Shane leads the team (if you can call a group of people who hates each other a team) to a small island off the coast of Nova Scotia. While there, they hunt for the cure, but craziness ensues. Doesn’t it always? As everyone makes their way deeper into the island, Rebekah and Elena continue their hate-hate relationship, Stefan continues his sulkiness, Damon accuses Shane of leading everyone into a trap, and ex-lovers-but-probably-still-in-love-friends Jeremy and Bonnie attempt to interpret the Hunter’s mark.
In this episode we will also hear more about Professor Shane’s shady past, as well as more to the story of Silas and the baddest of all baddest assed witches, Qetsiyah. Shane is quick to notice all the funky magic going on around them, and I’m pretty sure Bonnie will get into some dirt as well. Never know what that magic ticking time bomb’s going to do next.
Damon eventually gets fed up with Shane and demands that he tell everyone where the cure is. The preview ends there. So, what do you all think? Will Shane tell them where the cure is?
