There are many theories floating around about the cause of Prince Harry‘s split from Cressida Bonas. One such theory claims that Cressida was sick of the scrutiny and lack of privacy, another claims that she didn’t want to spend any more money on their relationship when it was doomed to begin with, but the Daily Mail’s theory is definitely the most intriguing – and the most likely, knowing what we do of Harry’s party boy tendencies.
The Mail’s royal sources claim that ‘trust issues’ were the root of all their problems, with their sources adding that a major factor was, “Cressida’s discovery at the 11th hour that Harry’s plans for next weekend’s celebrations include some pre-wedding ‘boys’ partying’ to which she was not invited.” Cressida and Harry were set to attend Guy Pelly‘s wedding in Tennessee, but from all these reports, it doesn’t seem like Cressida ever had any intention of going.
The Telegraph also claims that Cressida broke up with Harry because she couldn’t ‘afford’ to buy her own plane ticket for the wedding, which is hogwash. Maybe the rumors of her fortune have been greatly exaggerated, but have you seen what she wears? One outfit is probably worth an entire ticket to Tennesee, so I doubt money was the big issue.
Plus, Cressida was clearly looking for any excuse to back out of this relationship, and Harry provided her with the perfect one. His past scandals are infamous in the UK, and there’s no way Cressida would have been able to avoid that issue completely – and especially not when he was attending yet another ‘boy’s party’ in the US, the country of the last major crime. And come to think of it, Tennesse’s not all that far off from Vegas either.
