The winning team spends a beach day in Santa Monica with Olympic athletes Genai Kerer, Shea Buckner and Tumua Anae. Later, a team struggles with coordination during the dinner service.

On last week’s episode, after a dramatic elimination, the contestants were surprised when, for the first time in HELL’S KITCHEN history, a culinary school graduation took place in the dining room. Contestants from the Red and Blue teams were given 20 minutes to prepare breakfast for the graduates and their family and friends. The team that finished serving their guests first won a trip to San Francisco to meet renowned Chef Dominique Chen, while the losing team must hand-grind all the meat for the next dinner service. Later, the teams attempted to complete another successful dinner service, but tempers flared and both teams struggled with serving raw and overcooked dishes. Did you watch the episode? RECAP: Around 5am the sleep for all the chefs is cut short, they are woken up by a loud sound of a chainsaw cutting ice. Gordon tells them that they have to do a challenge this morning, the chefs must try all the protein in several dishes; they must identify which protein it is. The girls fail on the first one and then get it right on the second try. Now the girls are lost on the second, they can’t taste what is in the second dish, they just can’t get it whatsoever. Now on the third dish they stumble again, they are losing a lot of time. Now on the fourth dish they miss it again, but get it on the second try. Now it’s the final dish, the girls come back and fail it; now they are finally done with 7:41 as their time.

The guys are now doing the same challenge and get the first one fast but fail hard on the second taking a bit of time. Now on the third they get it fast, the fourth one itaking them time; though Sterling keeps telling him it is aligator. Now the last one is giving them tons of trouble, they are so close to the time limit to lose.

The men keep going back and forth and are so confused, they finally get it and the men finally win this challenge; they get to go and have fun in the sun at a beach house. They are all getting ready to go out and have a good time. The ladies are all going to hand grate tons of cheese and unload a whole truck full of ingredients. Cenai Kerr who won an Olympic gold medal for water polo; the guys are now playing water polo.

The girls have to drink some disgusting milkshakes, though they are getting hostile with each other over it since they are complaining about the taste; the girls are really losing their teamwork attitude.

The men are back and happier than ever, Sade and Jennifer are really going at each other; they are pissed and Sade tells Jennifer to not disrespect her. Jennifer gives her a ton of attitude and doesn’t apologize at all; they are not going to work well together.

It’s family night tonight, the girls start off with lots of communication and are working hard. Now Gordon takes the pasta and is so disappointed with it; he asks for a new one. Santos is taking a more hands off approach to his pizza making, he’s letting the kid put his cheese on it but Gordon wants him to start going faster.

Back in the red kitchen Kalen is working on her pasta again, though she is taking so long on it and Gordon is getting very frustrated with her turtle like speed.

The red team is now totally slowed down, Gordon keeps yelling at her and Kalen is just getting overwhelmed by it all though she finally gets the approval. Now back at the blue kitchen the scallops are absolutely disgusting; they are raw. Aaron goes at it again to redeem himself.

The girls are doing much better now and even the blue team is improving their pace; the men are almost done their dinner service as well. The girls have 5 tickets left while the boys only have one left, they are far behind.

The red team finally ends their service, Gordon says that Kalen is so slow and felt like she was such a slug. Gordon tells the men they did very well minus the scallops, so the red team surely lost tonights service and must put up two members for elimination. The girls are deciding who has to go, Kalen is an easy choice to be put up on the block since she is so slow. Kalen believes she did very well tonight, she is delusional with her sluggish cooking methods.

The girls nominate Kalen, but don’t have a clear second chef; Gordon is very annoyed.

The girls then put up Kate and Kalen, Kate says she hasn’t had a bad dinner service though she makes the mistake of nominating herself. Kalen believes that tonight she wasn’t the biggest issue with the service, she can’t accept herself being on the block. All the girls say that Kalen is the biggest problem with the red team right now, Gordon tells Kalen her team turned their back on her and that she is going home.
