Is the Duke of Cambridge not qualified to attend Cambridge University? The irony! Controversy about Prince William’s admission to Cambridge for a 10 week class in agricultural management sparked this week when a very bitter sounding former student wrote a piece for The Guardian where she rambled on about how hard she had to work to get in, while Prince Wills with his ABC A-levels and 2.1 undergraduate degree is far below standard, making a mockery of the admission process.
Cambridge student newspaper The Tab points out that students need a top grade A-level (A*AA) to gain access. The Royalist sums it all up asking whether the second in line for the British throne might not be bright enough to study at the highly respected school.
Now wait a minute! Handsome Wills not bright enough to attend Cambridge?
Maybe it has something to do with him being a benefactor of the department he’s going to study at. Maybe it has something to do with his name.
Sure. But let’s be honest here. Times are tough even for schools like Cambridge and money talks. So since Kensington Palace is shelling out a lot of money for Wills specially designed university course, why shouldn’t he be going there?
Of course if we ask Kate Middleton, she might not be happy with him going back to school at all. Wills leaving her and little Prince George alone for 10 weeks, mixing and mingling with mostly younger students, might conjure up her worst nightmare of Wills taking a mistress. Kate’s always benevolent monster-in-law Camilla Parker-Bowles reminds her every day of the Windsor men’s tendency to stray and even Will’s grandfather Prince Philip was no saint in his heyday. Of course Prince Charles’ mistress was Camilla herself, so she knows first hand all about royal cheating, right?
After giving birth less than half a year ago and struggling with postpartum depression for a long time her confidence is probably not at the highest level, so the coming weeks will be living hell for poor Catherine.
