Callie was going to turn to biological father for help with her former group home, but he ended up surprising her by making her an offer before she even got the chance to ask. He wants to throw a fundraiser for Girls United. Apparently, he had the same idea as she did. He wants to raise enough money to re-open a house with Rita back in charge.

And then he took his generosity a step further by making Callie’s day. Her dad finally signed the abandonment papers which means Callie’s position is no longer in limbo – she can now be officially adopted. Lena and Stef were ecstatic when they found out. Since losing the baby – they’ve been focusing more on their family. So it’s nice for them to hear that Callie will remain part of their family. It helps counteract Mariana’s new mindset on Ana.

Mariana wants to speak with her biological mother and she refuses to being swayed by Jesus. Her twin wants nothing to do with Ana. He feels like that woman only causes problems and their past history with her has assured him that he’s not blowing things out of proportion. She isn’t good for him so he doesn’t want to be there for her nor does he want her involved in his life.

Ana merely wants to talk to them because it’s part of her rehabilitation. She has to make amends to all the people she hurt with her addiction and Mariana wants to hear what she has to say. But there was a part of her that didn’t really want to see Ana on her own so she found a way to blackmail Jesus into joining with her. She had found out about his tattoo of Hayley’s name and threaten to tell their mothers about it.

The meeting with Ana was actual quite a surprise. To Stef at least. She thought Mariana needed to have a connection with Ana yet Mariana was the one that said some pretty hurtful things towards her mother and it was Jesus that was comforting Ana afterwards. Ana had said it was their normal behavior. Mariana was always the one getting angry at her for abandoning them during one of their mother’s binges and Jesus never could stand to see her cry. So he would comfort her after Mariana made her feel guilty and he would tell her it was alright when secretly he was just enabling Ana.

It’s similar to what he’s been doing with Hayley lately. On some level he knows his girlfriend is needy but he had learned from a very young age with his mother that its best to say or do whatever it takes to stop someone else’s tears. Even if he has to sacrifice his own happiness to do so.

And although, he still has some character flaws to work out, he did finally come to the decision that maybe it’s ok to put himself first for a change. So when Hayley later called him during the fundraiser – he told her he was busy. She can’t always expect him to be at her beck and call.

So two good things came out of the meeting with Ana. Jesus stood up to Hayley and Mariana went back to her natural hair color.

As for the fundraiser, it had gotten off on a good footing. The Quinns really went all out and Brandon’s band was even hired to play the event. So it was a good party with a lot of potential of becoming successful. But, sadly, Callie originally thought getting Robert’s help was going to be easy. That all she had to do was show up and help with a few of the arrangements for the fundraiser.

Yet Robert and Sophia, for that matter, had other plans. Sophia didn’t want to let go of her newfound sister. And seeing as Callie was going to be adopted into another family – Sophia had asked their father to re-claim Callie and at first it didn’t look like she was going to get her way this time. He did after all sign the papers.

Though no one could have expected what Sophia would do. The sweet young woman that had managed so far to fool everyone into believing she was really that sweet snapped. Her father signed the abandonment papers and mailed them out but he didn’t know that Sophia went and track down those very same papers to only rip them up.

Callie was mad at her however she thought Robert could just simply sign the papers again. Only he didn’t want to do that. He’s grown attached to Callie since they’ve started hanging out together and so he had hope she had a similar change of heart – she didn’t. She stormed out of his house after calling Sophia a brat and Brandon was the one that found her crying.

Callie had given up a lot to be adopted hence, when she was at her lowest, she felt like she needed to be compensated. Callie kissed Brandon!

THE END!
