Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have ended their four year relationship – did Stone’s close friendship with “La La Land” co-star Ryan Gosling have something to do with the break-up? Eva Mendes has been suspicious that there is something romantic going on between Ryan and Emma – maybe Eva’s fears were justified.
Both Emma and Andrew have put their careers ahead of love for at least a year, and in April 2015 it was reported that the couple were on a break. Though spotted hanging out together in Los Angeles in August they hadn’t been seen together since. An insider has confirmed to People that Stone and Garfield broke up a few months ago. “There was no drama, they’ve been apart while working. They still care about each other.”
There may have been no drama involved in Emma’s split from Andrew but there may be drama coming from Hurricane Eva if the rumors of a romance between Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are true.
Mendes is already upset that the father of her 13-month-old daughter Esmeralda has chosen Emma as someone to confide in about the stress involved with being a new dad. And now that Emma isn’t dating Andrew anymore she may need her good buddy Ryan’s shoulder to cry on.
The insider went on to say that Andrew and Emma “Still have love for one another. They are on good terms with each other and remain close.”
But Andrew Garfield seemed anything but okay during an interview in September 2015, “I am not OK. That feels really good to say to you. I’m really not all right. I’m in the struggle of being a person. I haven’t got anything figured out.” At the time Andrew was scheduled to head off to Australia to begin filming “Hacksaw Ridge,” Mel Gibson’s new World War II movie.
Is it just distance that caused the Stone and Garfield split? Andrew did spend five months in Taiwan shooting “Silence” while Emma was in Los Angeles shooting “La La Land.” Or did Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling’s close friendship turn into romance? Does Eva Mendes have reason to believe her relationship with Gosling is also over?
