Jaimie Alexander 'Blindspot' Diva: Gets Staff Fired?

Jaimie Alexander reportedly has demanded that numerous people be fired from the hit NBC drama “Blindspot.” Is Jaimie a diva – a perfectionist- who is impossible to work with?

“Blindspot” is the break-out hit of the new fall season. The show is so popular that NBC granted an early renewal of the Monday night thriller – it’s coming back for a second season. But sources told Page Six that the staggering success has gone to Jaimie’s head – the actress reportedly complains constantly about everything – and several people have been fired due to Alexander’s demands.

It is true that three people were fired, but a spokeswoman for “Warner Brothers,” producers of the show, say that Jaimie’s attitude had absolutely nothing to do with the employees’ dismissal. “Three people were let go from the production recently. This has nothing to do with any show talent and is a production/studio decision,” the WB representative said.

A representative for Jaimie Alexander (Jane Doe/Taylor Shaw) said that no one in the actress’s camp has heard anything at all about Alexander being an on-set diva. Jaimie’s spokesperson relayed, “I’ve never heard of a cast member being able to decide who is on the set. [Jaimie’s] not even first on the call list.”

Maybe Jaimie’s ill-temper could be blamed on the fact that it takes nearly 8 hours in the make-up chair to get Jane Doe’s tattoos applied exactly the same each and every time. That’s a lot of time to spend sitting still – and then head to the set to tape the show.

In a recent interview Jaimie didn’t give any indication that she had problems getting along with the cast and crew of “Blindspot.” Alexander said that the No. 1 new fall show has a great crew. Even though Jaimie needs to spend nearly eight hours getting the tattoos applied the time flies by – helped along by great conversation, listening to Beatles music, and drinking coffee.

Is Jaimie Alexander a diva on the set of “Blindspot,” responsible for several crew members losing their jobs? Australian actor Sullivan Stapleton (Kurt Weller) may get top billing, but Jaimie is the focal point of the show. Will producers do anything in order to keep Alexander happy – including firing crew members?
