Rumer Willis has tried to deny it, but anyone with two eyes can see that she is infatuated with her Dancing With The Stars partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Even her dad, actor Bruce Willis, picked up on Rumer’s crush on Val when he stopped by their DWTS rehearsal. So, what’s the problem – they’re super cute together right? Actually there is a huge problem, although Val Chmerkovskiy flirts on camera non-stop with Rumer to get more votes on Dancing With The Stars, he has made it very clear to her behind closed doors that he doesn’t want to date her…ever.
Bruce Willis stopped by Dancing With The Stars rehearsal recently to check in on his daughter Rumer and her partner Val. While the cameras were rolling Willis raved about how proud he was of Rumer and gushed, “I’m very proud. I love seeing her like that.” After a few encouraging words to his daughter and Val, the Die Hard actor joked that he would never be able to keep up with them and do a show like Dancing With The Stars.
According to our Dancing With The Stars insiders, Bruce Willis actually took Val aside to have a few words with him once the cameras were off. Our source revealed, “Bruce didn’t exactly threaten Val, but he made it very clear to him that he had to stop playing with Rumer’s feelings. He told Val that under no circumstances should he be flirting with her – unless he actually wanted to date her. Then he told Val he would be crazy not to want to date Rumer, and implied that Val should ask her out. The whole thing was super uncomfortable to watch.”
Awkward! So, Bruce Willis showed up to DWTS rehearsal to encourage Rumer’s crush – that’s not embarrassing at all. Ironically Val Chmerkovskiy took the meeting in stride, considering the fact that he is a serial-flirter, this is probably not the first angry dad he has ever had to deal with. Is Val really doing anything wrong – or is Rumer Willis just not built for a showmance with faux feelings? Will Val let Bruce bully him into dating his daughter?
