Zayn Malik was spotted walking into a recording studio on Thursday, just one day after he announced he wanted to leave One Direction because he wanted to live like a ‘normal 22-year-old’. I’m sorry, what ‘normal’ 22-year-old’ walks into a recording studio and records songs on his free time off?
In fact, sources tell People Magazine that Zayn’s friends – and especially his manager, his team, and his bandmates in One Direction – are feeling confused, misled, and tricked by Zayn’s departure. The sources explain, “He told everyone in the band and management that he wants to live a normal life and the next thing you know he’s going into music studios and doing interviews with tabloids. Everyone feels a bit misled and thinks he was lying about wanting to live a normal life.”
These same sources also claim that Zayn is one of the most easily influenced out of the group, and his friends and family are worried that he’s being manipulated into doing things he may not necessarily be interested in – i.e. starting a solo music career or even recording a solo studio album.
Plus, the rest of One Direction is reportedly furious that Zayn is already thinking of pursuing a solo music career, especially after what he told them. Even though they released a statement saying that they wish him nothing but luck in his life, sources state that apart from Louis Tomlinson, the rest of the band feels very betrayed by Zayn.
What do you guys think about the suspicious circumstances surrounding Zayn Malik’s departure from One Direction and his bandmates, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan? Do you think he really meant it when he said that he wanted to leave because he wanted a normal life, or was that just an excuse for leaving and pursuing his own career? If that’s the case, then whoever’s advising him is incredibly stupid – what, they thought this would never come out?
Even more ridiculous was webloid Gossip Cop’s sanctimonious piece chiding real news outlets like TMZ and Daily Mail for publishing photos of Zayn Malik after the hypocrite quit One Direction and requested privacy. Of course the always quick to criticize but slow to admit their own errors Gossip Cop has yet to correct their absurd post – weeping for the intrusion on Malik’s ‘privacy’ – even after the former One Direction member has been outed by People and other reputable outlets for deceiving his bandmates and lying about his reasons for leaving the band. Malik did not leave One Direction to live his life in “private” and “out of the spotlight” as touted by Gossip Cop. Of course the problem with taking what celebs and their reps say at face value and treating it like gospel is that you wind up making mistakes.
