It looks as though Angelina Jolie will be spending Christmas with her father Jon Voight and her six children this year. Jon himself told the press that he’s looking forward to spending the holidays with his family. Of course, the one person who won’t be at the dinner table this year is Angelina’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
In fact, Jon even told E! News, “Christmas is family, and I have lots of family. I’m hoping to see my grandchildren. I’m hoping to see my grandnieces and nephews and be with them. I’m making the plans now. By the way, I’m supposed to be making these plane flights right as we speak.”
Many insiders close to the actress are surprised that Angelina Jolie is talking to her father Jon Voight again. They’ve had an on-again, off-again relationship for years. Angelina famously cut him off from her life after he told the media that his daughter is in desperate need of psychological help.
Back in October, reports indicated that Jon Voight was helping Brad Pitt in his bitter divorce and custody battle with Angelina. After all, if there’s anyone who understands what Brad is going through right now, it would be Jon. Angelina refused to give Jon access to his grandchildren for years. That’s why Brad supposedly contacted Jon for help.
So does this mean that Jon Voight is caught in the middle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt? No one knows for sure. Yet sources say that Jon is doing whatever it takes to help Angelina Jolie and her six children. He doesn’t want to jeopardize his relationship with his daughter or his six grandchildren for that matter. As much as he understands what Brad is going through right now, he wants to do what’s best for Angelina.
So far, Angelina herself has not made any comments about her upcoming holiday plans. But it’s without a doubt that her six kids will be spending Christmas day with her.
