“Days of Our Lives” spoilers tease that Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) world will be torn apart. DOOL fans know that Jen has been on a downward spiral for a while now, but it looks like this situation is going to get even worse. In an interview with TV Insider, Melissa Reeves offered some major hints about what’s to come.
Longtime “Days of Our Lives” viewers will remember that Jack (Matthew Ashford) was killed off in a tragic elevator accident back in 2012. When DOOL spoilers revealed that Jack would be returning this spring, everyone wondered how that was going to work.
Naturally, seeing Jack as an apparition made the most sense. He’ll only be around for a handful of episodes.
Thanks to Reeves’ interview, we know a bit more about Jack’s comeback. It appears Jack will only share scenes with a drugged-up, broken Jennifer. “No one else sees him, so he’s either a ghost or she wants to see Jack so much that it’s all in her mind,” said Reeves. “He shows up and talks her through things when she’s at her worst and it’s pretty wonderful.”
It sounds like fans of the Jack and Jennifer pairing will be pleased. It should be fun to see them back together, even if it’s just for a few fleeting moments.
Jennifer is going to need all of the help she can get. “When she finally loses it and everything comes crashing down, they do a whole episode with my character falling apart,” noted Reeves. “The entire episode. This drug story has been very well written.”
We definitely agree with that! Reeves has truly been given a chance to shine with this “Days” storyline. Of course, there’s still plenty of gas left in the tank. The drama is just heating up. As Abigail (Kate Mansi) crumbles, Jennifer’s stress level will go through the roof.
