General Hospital (GH) spoilers examine a secret suspect who could be responsible for planting the car bomb that blew up Morgan. General Hospital’s Morgan Conrinthos (Bryan Craig) was blown up in a bomb clearly meant for Julian Jerome. Who is really to be blame?
GH sources tell us a very unlikely suspect, who quickly becomes a very likely suspect, Dr. Joe Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise). Joe had the means and the motive to want the Jerome crime family to pay for their crimes.
GH fans recall that Joe Rivera’s first stop in Port Charles was to the Quartermaine mansion to visit his dead brother’s widow, Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) and his nephew Teddy (Eduardo). Joe definitely didn’t appear to be a mobster, but his past connection to Sabrina became obvious. Joe was furious Carlos subjected Sabrina to this life.
Joe immediately got caught in the war between the Corinthos organization and the Jerome crime family. The only woman he ever loved was involved with a Corinthos. His brother was murdered by the Jerome boss, Julian. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) quickly told Joe not to make the same mistakes as his brother, Carlos. Joe didn’t look rattled by the conversation, but that’s not a surprise, since he was leading a double life.
Bashing his brother Carlos’ illegal activities, while plotting his own revenge; and nothing drove that revenge deeper than when Sabrina turned up as another victim of the General Hospital serial killer, Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi). Shortly after Joe arrives in town, Sabrina is murdered by Paul, which drove him over the edge.
General Hospital spoilers tell us that quiet, gentle Dr. Joe Rivera would be the last one you’d expect to be responsible for the bombing, but he definitely had his reasons for destroying the Jerome family, but is this the last we will see of him? Paul Hornsby is still alive and in prison; don’t think for a minute that Joe will let that stop him. Joe is angry and it’s clear he isn’t done with the citizens of Port Charles.
