New General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we’ll find out more about Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) this week and why she’s targeting Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). The key to this mystery is Carly’s name and her past before she came to Port Charles.
Carly’s history is messy. While in high school, her name was Caroline Benson and she was best friends with Charlotte “Carly” Roberts. Carly slept with Charlotte’s father causing the Roberts to divorce. Charlotte then died in a car crash and Caroline took the name Carly from her.
This is important because the roots to Nelle’s agenda against Carly come from this little slice of her past. Charlotte Roberts had a brother and he blames Carly for his sister’s life being cut short. We’ll find out in coming weeks that Carly is to blame for Charlotte’s car wreck and everything that followed.
He’s Nelle’s father and sent her to Port Charles to wreck Carly’s life since Carly took his sister’s life and then her name. Charlotte’s brother blames Carly for the car wreck that killed his sister and their parents’ divorce. Nelle is working for her father in this revenge game against Carly.
Nelle has a letter from him that says she owes him. It’s that “debt” that’s forcing Nelle’s hand. It’s still not certain whether Nelle is Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) kidney donor. All we know is that Nelle is missing a kidney.
She could be the donor, or could have lost the kidney to illness, or an accident. The kidney may have nothing to do with Nelle’s agenda. Nelle is working someone else’s revenge plan, not her own. You can tell because Nelle cried real tears after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) found her in his bed
She didn’t want to be there doing what she did, but she had to – because of her father. Nelle recorded Sonny confessing to sleeping with her and seemed pleased for a moment that she got what she needed but she’s struggling with guilt.
If she really blamed Carly for ruining her life, Nelle wouldn’t care and wouldn’t feel guilty. Nelle is jealous of the wealth and security Carly has and that’s also why she was jealous of Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin).
Nelle grew up without money and her dad is a terrible person that is forcing her to do terrible things. It’s sad if you think about it. This week, we’ll find out more about Nelle’s marching orders. Nelle misplaced a necklace in Sonny’s bedroom.
If Sonny doesn’t hide it well, Carly could find out about them. Also this week, Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) continues to get closer to Nelle and he might be the only one that can stop Nelle from carrying out her father’s orders.
If Nelle falls for Michael, she might stop this quest and turn over a new leaf. Nelle hasn’t done anything that can’t be recovered from yet. Can Michael stop Nelle? How long until Nelle’s father comes to Port Charles to give his orders in person?
