The murder of Molly Ryan was quickly turning into a free for all on tonight’s episode of “Guilt” however no claimed to know what really happened on the night Molly died.
Apparently Molly had been sharing an apartment in London with two other young women, but on the night in question it was only supposed to have been two people in that apartment. One roommate had gotten called in to work so she had left Grace and Molly behind at the apartment. Only neither Molly nor her roommate Grace had wanted a quiet night in that night so they had gone out. They had gone clubbing at first and then they had later taken the party back home with them by inviting a few people over to their place.
Yet, the story gets murky after that. Grace had claimed that she had gone up to the roof with her boyfriend Luke at some point and that they had stayed up there for a while, but later she said she thought she might have come back downstairs to go to the bathroom. So the one thing that Grace could remain firm about was that she had been messed up that night. She said she had taken drugs with Molly and that she couldn’t remember much other than finding Molly the next morning.
Only there were certain discrepancies in both Grace and her boyfriend Luc’s story. Grace had said that she hadn’t found Molly until the next morning so that begged the question why bloody footprints where found leading to the roof. And Luc in the meantime had a lot to explain as well because he had said that he hadn’t known Molly outside of her relationship with Grace yet footage from the club that night showed that she was practically giving a lap dance at one point.
So both Grace and her boyfriend Luc had been caught in a lie before they suddenly change their stories on the spot. Grace then said she had used the bathroom and Luc called that dance harmless. But Molly had been pregnant when she was murdered so that gave both Grace and Luc motive if it turns out that Luc was the father. Grace could have been jealous and Luc might not have wanted to be a father though in all honesty what really made them look guilty was the fact that they had tried to leave the country together.
Grace had gotten paranoid after Molly’s death so she claimed that she thought someone was following her however she said leaving the country had been Luc’s idea. The two had been found on a train to Paris by Scotland Yard and they had both brought in for questioning. However, Grace’s family hired a lawyer that got her out. So Grace was able to tell her big sister that running had been Luc’s idea and she had been too scared about staying in London to think about the ramifications.
And yet Luc hadn’t been happy when he was later released. Luc had been suspicious about Grace’s early release and he had seemingly blamed her for Scotland Yard confiscating his passport. So the two lovebirds had quickly turned on each other and it just got worse from there. Someone had gone on to leak that Grace was a suspect so the media soon found out a whole bunch of things about Grace. Such as the fact she had an affair with her married professor and that she had ended up slashing his tires when she found out that he was married.
So the story surrounding Molly’s murder soon became something else. It began being about the tragedy surrounding the young twenty-two-year-old who had traveled to London from Northern Ireland to study, but then it became about Grace who was being painted as a psycho. Grace was someone that admitted to doing drugs and having affairs with married men so that had made things look bad for her.
Grace’s lawyer on the other hand had said that they could use the media fodder surrounding the case to paint someone else as Molly’s murderer. He said they could throw the professor under the bus though there were a few other people they could cast as the killer. For instance, Molly had been wearing a scarf that Grace’s sister had gifted their stepdad so that made the stepfather look guilty because there was no reason for him to randomly give a present to a near stranger. And besides the stepfather there was one other person that could very well be the father to Molly’s baby.
Molly had apparently gotten caught up in a certain scene in London so eventually she crossed paths with Prince Theo. Theo being a prince in the British Royal Family. So he could be the baby’s father and either he or his people would have wanted to cover up a pregnancy. Yet, nothing is certain and nothing could be proven right now.
