Jodi Arias Stands Trial Again: Charged With Verbally Abusing Prison Guard

Jodi Arias was recently charged with verbally abusing a prison guard and stood trial through a disciplinary hearing. Arias denies using vulgar language when speaking to the officer of the law.

Once again Jodi Arias is denying she did anything wrong and that someone else is to blame for her actions. Does this sound familiar? Jodi used what some would be consider X-rated language – the convicted murder called a prison staffer a [explicit term] because the guard wouldn’t give permission for Jodi to get a haircut.

And what was Jodi’s defense? The vulgar word Arias used was “taken out of context and did not mean how it was perceived,” Radar Online reports. Next excuse? Jodi Arias hears other inmates using explicit language all the time and thought it was okay for her to do it too.

In the Inmate Disciplinary report obtained by Radar Online the guard wrote, “Inmate Arias admitted to me that she called me an [explicit term}.” The disciplinary report goes on to explain the incident in detail. The staffer concluded the report with Jodi’s response at the time of the incident on February 3.

“{Inmate Arias} told me that she did not know that word to mean anything sexual and I could look up the phrase on urban dictionary because that would show it means to ‘stonewall someone.’”

The prison disciplinary committee wasn’t buying what Jodi was shoveling. The verdict? Guilty. The punishment? The Arizona Department of Corrections told Radar Online exclusively that due to Jodi’s misconduct “the inmate lost contact and visit privileges and will have to demonstrate at least 180 days of good behavior.”

If Arias can meet that requirement the disciplinary committee will consider reinstating said contact and visit privileges. There are going to be a lot of men out there who will miss writing to and getting letters from Jodi. There are quite a few guys who are smitten with mousy but freaky brunette.

The woman convicted of murdering Travis Alexander won’t automatically get benefits back. If she behaves for six months Jodi MIGHT be able to send and receive letters and MIGHT be able to have visitors. Is it possible for Jodi Arias to keep her mouth shut and not cause problems for 180 days? We’ll just have to wait and see.
