Tonight’s episode of Lucifer kicks off with a wild party at his house – a pizza delivery guy arrives with a stack of pizzas. Lucifer tosses some cash at him. Then he has a thought, he asks the teenage delivery guy if any of his deliveries ever end in sex – like the videos on the internet. He invites the delivery guy in to reenact one of the videos.

The next day Lucifer heads to therapy – he is concerned because he passed up a threesome in a hot-tub, his therapist tries to explain to Lucifer that all of this excessive partying and sex is just his sad attempts to fill a void in his life. He has no real friends or companions.

Lucifer heads back to the club, and is still shaken by his therapist – there is a pastor waiting for him named Frank Lawrence. Frank needs his help, apparently there is a youth center being used as a drug front. And the man in charge, Arietta, is recruiting young boys from Frank’s church to move his drugs. Frank says that the police are useless, they couldn’t find anything on Arietta. Frank needs Lucifer’s help to get a kid out of Arietta’s scheme named Connor. Lucifer laughs and says he doesn’t want to help the priest.

He heads to the police station and fills Chloe in – he explains the whole thing and says that he thinks Frank Lawrence is up to something. Chloe thinks Lucifer has lost it, but she agrees to go to the youth center and talk to Arietta with him. When they arrive at the youth center, they find Arietta lying on his office floor…dead. Lucifer scoffs, “I told you the priest was up to something!”

The coroner arrives and says that his time of death was around 12 in the morning – he appears to have been beaten by a baseball bat. There were some signs of struggle, he put up a bit of a fight. Chloe also found a voice distorter in the office, she thinks it could be evidence.

Chloe and Lucifer head out to interview the staff at the youth center. A guy named Eric Doyle cries and says Lenny Arietta was a great boss. He says the priest was always coming around and getting in to arguments with Lenny. Doyle says he was at the youth center around the time of death, he was counseling Connor – the altar boy that Frank was worried about.

Chloe and Lucifer question Connor about Father Frank. He laughs that he doubts the priest killed Arietta. Connor says that Father Frank has been really overprotective of him since his parents died. He confirms that Father Frank was at the youth center when Arietta was killed too.

Back at the police station, Chloe does some research on Frank. He did have some drug and assault charges – but they were from over 10 years ago. Last week, Arietta did file for a restraining order against him. Chloe tells Lucifer that it is enough to bring him in for questioning. Before they leave to find Frank, Chloe slips in to Dan’s office and invites him over for dinner so that they can talk about their kiss.

Dan is distracted though, Malcolm is back at the precinct. After Chloe leaves, he corners Dan and says that he was assigned to be his partner. Dan demands to know what he wants. Malcolm blackmails Dan and threatens to tell on his for shooting him if he doesn’t sneak in to the evidence room and steal something for him.

Dan is heading through the parking garage and Amenadiel corners him. He reminds him that he brought him back from the dead – and he can send him back to hell any day. Patience is not one of Amenadiel’s virtues. Dan reassures him that he is working on it.

Chloe and Lucifer track Frank own at the church – he confirms that he had saw Arietta and he punched him, but then he left. He swears that he didn’t kill Arietta, and he has an alibi to prove it. It looks like Frank is not the killer. Chloe still has to take him down to the station though. Chloe, Lucifer, and Frank leave the church. As they are walking out the front door, a black SUV drives by and opens fire on all three of them – they manage to escape without getting shot.

Chloe got a partial lisence plate number from the SUV and has someone run it. There were no prints or DNA on the voice distorter either. Plus, Frank’s alibi checked out. They have no leads. Chloe questions Frank and he says that there is another drug dealer that might have wanted to kill him. Apparently a guy named The Spider was trying to take over Arietta’s territory.

Since Frank is in danger, Lucifer takes him back to the club and has some strippers dressed as nuns waiting for him. Lucifer has a drink and Frank opens up about his past. He reveals that he used to be in a band and partied hard. Connor’s dad was the drummer and they used to play together. He was in a car accident with Connor’s parents – they both died and so did Frank’s daughter, then he became a priest. Lucifer convinces Frank to hop on the piano with him.

Chloe gets a lead on The Spider – they leave Frank at the bar and head out to an indoor skate park. They see Connor there, with one of the girls from the youth center. When Connor spots the police – he fires a gun in to the air an everyone scatters. He creates a diversion and Connor manages to escape without getting caught. Chloe gets a call about the license plate number. It was stolen from the youth center, and they have Connor on camera stealing it. Connor is The Spider – and he tried to kill Frank!

Chloe and Frank head back to the bar and tell Frank what they have learned. Frank doesn’t believe it – he doesn’t think Connor is capable of being a drug pin or trying to kill him. He wants a chance to try and convince Connor to turn himself in, but Chloe says that it is too dangerous.

Meanwhile, Dan meets up with Malcolm in a dark parking lot. He gives him a gun that he stole from the evidence room as requested. Dan asks if they are done now, Malcolm laughs, “Not by a long shot partner.”

At the bar – Chloe and Lucifer can’t find Father Frank, he seems to have disappeared. The bartender says that he got a phone call from someone named Connor and then he left. Chloe and Lucifer think that Frank is trying to hide Connor from the police. They rush to the church and they find Connor holding Frank at gunpoint. Eric Doyle is there too, he is telling Connor to pull the trigger and prove that he can trust him. Apparently Frank was right, Connor isn’t The Spider, Eric Doyle is.

Lucifer talks Connor down and he drops his gun. Eric pulls out a gun to shoot Connor and Father Frank jumps in front of the bullet, Chloe barges in and shoots Eric before he can do any more damage. Lucifer rushes to Frank’s side to try and stop the bleeding. Frank is gasping for breath – he says that he met Lucifer for a reason, and “his father has a plan for him.” Then, Frank dies in Lucifer’s arms.

Lucifer picks Doyle up off the ground and slams him up against the wall and begins choking him. Chloe begs him to stop and says that it is not what Father Frank would have wanted. Lucifer finally drops Eric, and spares him. The police and ambulance arrive – Connor cooperates and reveals that Eric is the drug kingpin and he killed Lenny Arietti.

Lucifer heads home and shouts at the sky that Frank did not deserve that. Lucifer screams that it doesn’t matter if you are a sinner or a saint, nobody can win and there is no bloody point. Chloe cancels her date that night and heads back to the bar – she finds Lucifer playing on his piano. She says that she thought he can use a friend, Lucifer is obviously moved. He changes the subject and invites her to play on the piano with him.

THE END!
