Queen Elizabeth Vetoes Kate Middleton Mustique Family Vacation: Carole Middleton Furious

Carole Middleton loses again and the matriarch is probably furious. Did Queen Elizabeth veto Kate Middleton travelling to Mustique for a Middleton family vacation? The annual Middleton Mustique holiday is when the family celebrates Carole’s January 31 birthday – was missing two VIPs.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were glaringly absent when Pippa Middleton, James Middleton and Michael Middleton arrived on the island last week.

Duchess Kate isn’t one to miss out on a sundrenched holiday, which makes you wonder, did Queen Elizabeth demand Princess Kate and Prince William stay put and focus on Prince George and Princess Charlotte? The couple really should spend as much time as possible with George and Charlotte before the Cambridge’s begin an intensive round of Royal tours, trips and obligations.

It might have been nice to bring the little Royal ones along on a sunny vacation, don’t you think? Princess Charlotte may only be nine-months-old but even a little one can enjoy a little fun in the sun as long as Mum uses plenty of sunscreen and puts a hat upon the wee one’s head.

Maybe Carole Middleton didn’t want screaming Royal grandchildren ruining her 61st birthday party? Is that the reason the Cambridge’s stayed home?

However, dragging Prince George out of nursery school just as the third-in-line to the throne is settling in nicely would have been very unfair. All this talk of giving George as normal a life as possible, arranging playdates with commoners, etc. How hypocritical would it be if Prince George jetted of with Kate Middleton and Prince William for a highbrow and very expensive vacation on a private island.

This is a big year for Queen Elizabeth and the entire Royal Family. Prince Harry is headed off to Nepal in March. Duchess Kate and Prince William will visit India and Bhutan sometime this spring. The Cambridge’s will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary in April.

More important events on the Royal calendar include King Felipe and Queen of Letizia of Spain official state visit March. Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday celebration is quickly approaching.

There just isn’t anytime at all for Kate Middleton to wiggle in a vacation to Mustique for Carole Middleton’s birthday. Poor, poor Carole! Pushed aside yet again in favor of the Royal Family. Come back to CDL for all you Royal updates and news!
