Teresa was finally home! Teresa was released around the holidays back in December and so she was with her family again and more importantly her children had her back. So you could say that things should be better than ever however, there was still a downside to her release. Teresa had to wear an ankle bracelet and receive permission before she leaves the house so she knew that was going to be upsetting for the family. Although not as upsetting as the paparazzi.

The paparazzi were camped in front of the house and they all wanted the exclusives. But unfortunately for them, Teresa and her Joe had already sold the exclusives because they had to think of their futures. Teresa said that none of her business made any money while she was in prison so she has to sort of hit the ground running when she came out and its actually more important now that they make money. Teresa said that she has to start putting money away to pay for the kids’ college funds and on top of that she has to figure out how to support the family when it’s her husband’s turn to serve time.

So really the sale of those exclusives were coming in handy and Teresa was doing everything in her power not to risk upsetting the magazine that was paying her. When her brother came by to take them to Christmas’ Eve dinner, Teresa had covered herself and later at his house she had refused all pictures because she couldn’t risk those showing up on social media though the pictures weren’t the only thing that cropped up at the dinner. There was also the tension in the room between Teresa and Melissa. Teresa and Melissa have had issues in the past so the one thing the family wanted was for the two to come together. And just put everything that happened behind them.

And so it was more for them than for anyone else that the two ladies ended up agreeing on a truce. Teresa and Melissa came to an agreement where they wouldn’t badmouth the other and would also step in if someone else were to badmouth their sister-in-law. So basically the two ladies agreed on common decency and were going to try and act like the family everyone has been asking them to be for the past few seasons. Yet, the fact that they came to any sort of agreement was progress so that’s almost step for them.

Though Jaqueline was in an awkward position because she wanted to make peace with Teresa and just didn’t know how. Jaqueline had actually gotten quite emotional when she saw the first few photos of Teresa online so it seems like she does still care about Teresa and what happens to her. So the one thing stopping her from reaching out was the fact that she didn’t how Teresa would receive her. Would Teresa embrace her like an old friend or would she dismiss Jaqueline again? And while Jaqueline was considering letting Teresa make the first move, she also had her daughter on her case.

Jaqueline’s daughter Ashlee wants to move in with her boyfriend, but Jaqueline wasn’t so sure about allowing that. Mother and daughter have had a few dust-ups yet they’ve also had some pretty great moments together and so Jaqueline for one didn’t want her daughter moving in with a boyfriend. Yet, there wasn’t that much that Jaqueline could say that would convince her daughter that she should stay home. Ashlee had wanted some privacy with her boyfriend and she knew she couldn’t get that if she stayed because she’s apparently overheard her parents trying to have some “privacy” at the house.

So Jaqueline was struggling with her daughter moving on just as much as Teresa was struggling with Gia growing up. Gia was now full into her teens and Teresa had noticed after getting out that Gia kept butting heads with her dad. Gia for instance wanted to go out on New Year’s with her friends so Teresa was ok with that although Joe wasn’t. Joe felt that Gia who was just fourteen should be home with them and he figured she was only allowed to go because Teresa was there. And in a way he was right.

Teresa said that she felt bad after the year her kids had been through. So she was overcompensating with Gia and she wasn’t taking her to task as normally would have. However, Teresa wasn’t doing a lot of things like she normally would have. She was a bit on edge after coming out and wasn’t as outspoken so the few people that were allowed to be around her had noticed a change in her personality though season newcomer Dolores felt that wasn’t such a bad thing. Dolores had wanted to get Teresa and Jaqueline back on speaking terms so she ultimately had Teresa call Jaqueline in order to wish her a Happy New Year.

But that ended up causing a few problems. Teresa for one hadn’t known that her cousins were at Jaqueline’s house so it was awkward when she found out about that thanks to being on speakerphone and the few words she shared with Jaqueline was also awkward. Both women walked away from that conversation believing the other sounded a little cold and Rosie herself had a moment afterwards. Rosie felt that Teresa couldn’t even bothered to talk to her so that had made her upset and now her New Year Resolution was to be a bitch to everyone because nothing good came from being nice.

And so things between Teresa and the others still needed some careful handling. Thankfully, she’s on better terms with Melissa now so that’s good though Melissa has currently been arguing with her own Joe because her husband doesn’t want a part-time wife. Which means a wife that’s working away from home. So Teresa and Melissa’s new relationship will be determined by who she backs on that particular argument.

THE END!
