“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) will not take his kidnapping lying down. Adam has enough enemies of his own – plus all of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) enemies gunning for him – so escape seems preferable to whatever is in store for him.
Y&R spoilers indicate that Adam will make a daring escape attempt but will be caught by his captors and punishment will follow. But how severe will this punishment be and what form will it take is the big question. What will happen to Adam at the hands of his kidnappers?
The severity of the punishment Adam receives will depend on the kidnapper and how they interpret his actions – and Victor’s. We know that Victor responded to the kidnapping by himself kidnapping Marisa Sierras (Sofia Pernas) because he thought she was “the girl” they wanted.
If Victor hands over Marisa and the kidnappers want a different girl, they may hurt Adam in a visible way so they can send bloody photos of him to show Victor they won’t be toyed with and want the correct girl delivered ASAP.
Even if Victor hands over hacker Natalie (Mara McCaffray) – and she’s the one they want – Adam may still be punished harshly. Why? Victor also bought Natalie’s new program and they may think Victor kept the program and “stole” what they paid for – they wouldn’t yet know her program doesn’t work…
Also, if Victor hands over Natalie, but it’s Marisa that’s “the girl” in question, that could go badly if Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman) is the kidnapper. If he doesn’t get Marisa, he might brutalize Adam in retribution. Remember when Marco’s ear was cut off? Could he do the same to Adam?
If Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is the kidnapper, he may have been vague about who “the girl” is just to drive Victor crazy. In that case, Ian could torment Adam – no matter who Victor hands over – as retribution for Adam turning on him and reuniting with his father.
The bottom line is that Adam could end up with a mild punishment of mental cruelty – they could threaten his wife and son, for instance – or it could be as extreme a punishment as bloody and brutal torture if Marco is the kidnapper…
