“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that on tomorrow’s episode, Thursday, April 28, Victor (Eric Braeden) will have to use every available resource if he hopes to get out of prison. He’s reluctantly teamed up with Ian (Ray Wise) to form a brilliant strategy. Dr. Gates (Alicia Coppola) and her powerful father will play important parts in their plan.
If Victor can grow closer to Dr. Gates, they’ll be one step closer to achieving their goal. Unfortunately, Victor could get on Dr. Gates’ bad side. It seems Victor will decide he needs to use a phone and he’ll take advantage of the one in the infirmary. We don’t know who Victor will call, but Dr. Gates won’t approve.
She’ll ask Vic who authorized him to use her phone on Thursday’s episode, April 28.

Luckily, manipulation is one of Victor’s main talents. Perhaps Victor will sell Dr. Gates a sob story about contacting his family. Regardless, Dr. Gates shouldn’t stay mad for long. Like Ian suggested, Dr. Gates could be putty in their hands if their plot pans out.
Victor will do his best to keep his end of the bargain and get Dr. Gates on their team. What happens once Victor wins the doc over? “The Young and the Restless” spoilers indicate that it’ll be time for the next phase of this sneaky scheme.
We know that Dr. Gates’ father, Russell, serves as head of the prison review board. Dr. Gates admitted that she wasn’t close to Russell anymore, but that might actually work in Victor’s favor. Maybe Victor could encourage Dr. Gates to reach out to her dad and make amends.
Dr. Gates might be grateful for Victor’s inspiration. She could put in a good word with Russell and try to secure Victor’s release. As for Ian, we shouldn’t expect Victor to do too much for him. Victor is only looking out for number one. He could easily stab Ian in the back. Of course, Ian could try to pull something as well.
Y&R viewers know that neither one of these men is trustworthy.
Victor could switch to plan B if the father angle falls through. Dr. Gates undoubtedly has inside connections at the state pen. She could put her job on the line to get Victor out of there. A genuine prison break would be quite fun to watch.
However, that idea has some flaws. Victor couldn’t return to his old life without getting caught. As far as we know, Victor will be sticking around for a while. It would make a lot more sense if Victor managed to gain his freedom legally. That way Victor can go back to wreaking havoc in Genoa City as usual.
Will Dr. Gates eventually help Victor get what he wants? Victor rarely fails, so we’d say it’s a safe bet. That could mean bad news for Victor’s family. Stick with the CBS soap for updates on how all of this will play out.
