Tonight’s episode of Billions kicks off with Wendy Rhoades at her new job. She’s working for a company called Farpoint, they send manned ships to Mars. Wendy will be performing a psych evaluation on a scientist named Elena, she’ll be the first woman to go up in space alone. The owner of Farpoint wants to make sure that she has what it takes to survive in space on her own.

Meanwhile, Bobby Axelrod is having lunch with Mark Cuban, he’s getting advice on buying in to an NFL franchise. Cuban warns Bobby that they aren’t going to let him in if he keeps messing with the State’s Attorney. He needs to make this lawsuit go away quickly.

Chuck Rhoades has problems of his own. He’s dealing with his lawsuit with Bobby, plus his team is trying to build a case against squeaky clean Boyd. The only in that they have is a disgruntled employee named McKinnon, apparently, Boyd was having an affair with McKinnon’s wife. McKinnon is more than willing to help them catch Boyd red-handed, the only problem is that dirt on Boyd is few and far between and he can’t find any.

Little does Chuck know, he may have an office in his own issue to deal with soon. Bryan isn’t happy with his job lately, nor is he a fan of Chuck’s quest against Boyd.

Bobby meets with his lawyer and learns that Chuck’s appeal to have his lawsuit dismissed has been shut own. Bobby tells his lawyer that they need to speed things up, his drama with Chuck could come between him and the NFL team. His lawyer warns Bobby that going forward with the case could be detrimental, the depositions could turn the tables. He tells Bobby that if he gets rattled during questioning, don’t answer, just ask for a break.

Elena is giving Wendy a tour of Farpoint. Wendy obviously isn’t a future astronaut, she uses the tour as more of an excuse to assess Elena and what she’s all about it.

Chuck gets a strange package at his office from his father’s driver. Outside, Bryan is grabbing a cup of coffee and he runs in to Oliver Dake. Dake taunts him, he warns him that Chuck’s case against Boyd is not going to happen and Rhoades is going down. He wants Bryan to jump ship and help him build a case against Chuck.

Bryan stays up late going over Boyd’s books, he makes a surprising discovery, he doesn’t find dirt on Boyd but he does find some on Kate. Bryan shows up at Kate’s doorstep, he tells her what he found. But, Kate snarks that she already knows her dad put $12 Million in an off-shore account. She implies that Bryan is just jealous her dad had that much money, and shuts the door in her face.

Meanwhile, Bobby’s wife and her new business partner are working hard on their IV business. Apparently, there’s a new player on the scene that is coming after their customers and under-cutting their prices, and Dan Wolfe is behind it. She reassures Bobby that she can handle Dan Wolfe on her own, she doesn’t need her husband making phone calls on her behalf.

Chuck sits down to watch the flashdrive that his father sent him. Apparently, he has had someone tailing Bryan this entire time, and recording his meetings with Oliver Dake. Chuck calls Bryan in to his office, but he doesn’t let him know that he has the recordings yet. Instead, Chuck tells Bryan that he needs him to set up a 1-on-1 meeting between him and Boyd. Bryan is obviously confused, but Chuck has a plan, he wants to get Boyd to relax and trust him.

Chuck meets up with Boyd and he has a proposition for him. Chuck wants Boyd to launch an internal investigation, and he promises to sign off on it in a year. Then they both win. Boyd offers up a few shady guys in his IT department as scape goats. He wants this investigation over sooner rather than later.

Bobby Axelrod is still determined to get in to the NFL franchise. He arranges a meeting with Benzinger, a million dollar philanthropist and leaks his own photos to the media. Two other men are bidding against Bobby, but after the latest Media blitz, one of them backs out. Bobby is getting closer and closer to his dream of owning a NFL team.

Later that night, Boyd pays Bobby a visit and fills him in on his meeting with Chuck Rhoades. Bobby warns him that he should have just bit his hand off, Boyd seems to think that Chuck was being genuine and they are going to work together.

The next day, Boyd hits the golf course. Chuck’s dad bumps in to him, obviously not on accident. He vouches for Chuck and tells Boyd that his offer was legit, and Chuck is going to end the investigation.

Wendy meets with the owner of Farpoint, after spending the day with Elena, Wendy deems her unfit to go to space – she tells him to reject Elena. Apparently, Wendy thinks that she is going to crack when she is up in space, and she has never faced any real adversity. He wants Wendy to look at another candidate, but she turns him down, she wants to work with people – not get paid to judge them.

Bobby reads that Dan Wolfe got arrested for a prostitution scandal, it looks like his wife was right – she can handle herself and her business.

Bryan and Chuck meet up with McKinnon, he has great news for them. Apparently Chuck’s plan worked, after his meeting with Boyd, he let down his guard and he’s rigging treasury auctions.

At the office, Bobby notices that Wags is wearing sweatpants. He calls him in to the office and asks what is going on. Wag confesses that he blacked out last night, woke up in a gross hotel, and he has a tattoo on his butt. Wags is spiraling out of control – Bobby sends him to Wendy’s office for therapy.

Bryan meets up with Dake, he tells him that he has nothing, and to stop harassing him and back off. Apparently, Bryan has new found respect for Chuck, and he’s not interested in helping Dake take him down.

Tonight’s episode of Billions ends with Dake and his lawyer arriving at Bobby’s office for depositions. Of course, Bobby and Chuck can’t contain themselves, and they talk smack to each other. Finally, their lawyers convince the rivals to get down to business and begin the questioning. It’s not long before Bobby gets rattled and announces he is taking a break and storms out.

While Bobby is getting himself together at his desk, he gets a phone call from Bensinger. Apparently, Bensinger knows that Bobby was using him for good press and he’s not happy about it. Bensinger gloats that the NFL is denying his bid, apparently he pulled some strings and made sure that Bobby did not get the franchise.

Bobby marches back in to the deposition and announces that he has monetary damages, Chuck just cost him a football team.

THE END!
