Tonight’s episode of Billions kicks off with Wags marching in to Bobby Axelrod’s office – he’s clean and sober and he has something that he wants to say to Axe. Bobby snaps and screams at him that while Wags has been finding himself the last few days, his company has been hanging on by a thread.
48 Hours Earlier

A mystery man is alone in his loft, he calmly walks to the window and jumps several stories, he’ clearly dead on impact.

The next morning, Bobby is paying an old pal a visit to discuss a potential casino being built in Upstate New York. His phone starts blowing up, everyone at the office is panicking over the death of the Asian tech guru.
Lawrence Boyd calls Bobby and says that Samsonics is in trouble, the cell phone company’s new glass interface is combustable under heat. The Korean scientist that created it committed suicide when he realized it was a failure. Now, the phone company called Samsonics is about to go under.

Boyd has more bad news, Bobby’s company is facing the first down quarter…ever. A reporter named Sam Brandt is all over, and wants him to be on her show.

Meanwhile, the Rhoades Family is in therapy for another session. Wendy and Chuck are arguing over Chuck over-dressing for dinner, and she is tired of him rubbing his career in everyone’s face. Chuck on the other hand says that he just likes to dress nice because he thinks that Wendy is way out of his league.

Bobby arrives at the office and calls the entire staff in for a meeting. Samsonic has pulled them down to negative 2.3%. They only have three days until the quarter is over, they begin spitballing ideas, and Bobby is lashing out at everyone. He screams that they are all selfish and he knows that they are trying to protect their bonuses and not worrying about the company as a whole. Bobby says that nobody is leaving the office until somebody hands him an idea that he can shock the world with.

Dollar Bill decides he has the perfect idea – he heads in to Bobby’s office to pitch it to him. Steph is in the office though, and Bill refuses to share his idea in front of her, which means it’s probably not legit.
Axe gets a tip that Mafee may have a good plan, but he’s hiding in the bathroom after Bobby yelled at him during the meeting. Bobby heads to the bathroom to talk to Mafee, he explains to bobby that he knows a guy named Everett that he went to college with that specializes in trading currency and he thinks that he may be able to help.

Bobby decides to go out to lunch with Everett and chat with him. Everett actually has just the thing that he thinks Bobby might be interested in – apparently the Nigerian government is in talks to devalue their currency, which could mean a huge payout. But, Bobby is going to have to get some major backers to go in on the deal with him, he can’t do it alone.

Bobby Axelrod checks out Everett’s research, and it’s legit, but he needs some serious power players to go after the Nigerian currency deal with him. He tries to get Lawrence Boyd to get involved, but he’s not interested. In the mean time, Bobby has been calling Wags every hour, and he’s still not picking up.

Chuck and his team meets with McKinnon, it turns out that their rat is horrible at being a rat. Not only has he not got any info to take down Boyd, but he also has been acting strange, and people at the office can tell that he’s up to something.

Bobby calls a meeting at a diner with some of his biggest competition – Krakow, Malverne, and Price. They both agree to put in a billion, Bobby has Everett share all of their intel with them and get them caught up.

Bobby’s plan seems to going smoothly, then he gets bad news, apparently Price double-crossed him and shared some of his Nigerian intel with other investors who are all slamming Nigerian currency. Bobby thought that he and Price’s previous issues were water under the bridge, but apparently that’s not the case.

While Chuck is at karate lessons, flirting with his Swedish instructor, Oliver Dake is still a threat and snooping around his office. He thinks that Watley is the weak link, and it’s only a matter of time before he gets him to roll over on Chuck.

McKinnon gets one last shot to get dirt on Boyd and his company’s bid-rigging. McKinnon and his wife head out to dinner with Boyd and his wife, Chuck calls in the FBI to set up surveillance at the restaurant, all McKinnon has to do is get Boyd to talk. And, of course, not let on that he knows he was sleeping with his wife.
McKinnon gets wasted and downs drinks, and the dinner goes sour quickly. While McKinnon gets drunk, his wife flirts shamelessly with Boyd. The two women go to the bathroom, drunk McKinnon gets Boyd to sing like a canary all while he’s being recorded. They finally have what they need to take Boyd down. Wags finally

Wags finally shows up at Bobby’s office, and he’s furious that he hasn’t answered his phone for 3 days. Wags explains that he was in therapy with Wendy, apparently he had a break through. Wags was feeling like his life was meaningful and ran his course because Axe hired Steph as his chief of staff and didn’t need him any more. Wendy convinced Wags that it was time for him to evolve and move on to the next phase in his life. Wags

Wags wants to leave the company, but Bobby won’t let him. He fired Steph, and the company doesn’t run without Wags. Bobby tells him to get some coffee and get it together, they have to close the Nigerian deal.

Bobby moves on to the next phase of his plan, he and Boyd go on to the morning TV show, and they are planning on planting information about the Nigerian currency to convince the Nigerian government to devalue their currency.

Right before they go on air, Bobby gets a phone call, a tip that a judge just signed an arrest warrant for Boyd and they are on the way to pick him up. Bobby doesn’t tip Boyd off though – he decides to go on the air with him as if nothing is wrong, he needs to get Boyd to say that Nigeria should devalue their currency before he is arrested.

Boyd and Bobby do their song and dance on air, and within moments after the show is over, the FBI arrives and arrests Boyd. He puts two and two together and realizes that Bobby already knew and didn’t give him a heads up. Bobby promises to tell his kids before its on the news.

Chuck is on hand with the FBI when they arrest Boyd, after he is escorted out, Chuck and Bobby exchange words.

Tonight’s episode of Billions ends with Chuck pigging out at a diner by himself.

THE END!
