That old face that had visited Rorish had been Ariel. Ariel had unfortunately lost her father at the hospital following a nasty accident that she herself had survived however Rorish had been there for her afterward. Rorish had told the young girl that her father was still around in spirit if not in body and had even introduced Ariel to another young girl that had been lucky enough to receive Ariel’s father’s heart. But Ariel’s life had unfortunately taken a downhill for the worse when she had been sent to live her aunt.

The aunt hadn’t been able to handle a child that had emotional needs that some considered too impossible to handle and she soon gave up Ariel after the girl got in trouble with the law. However, Ariel didn’t stop getting into trouble and her aunt abandoning her had just reinforced the notion that she had no one. So Ariel was eventually sent to juvie twice, put in a group home, and had also gone through two foster families yet family services didn’t know what to do with her and so she had decided to go live with a guy in Oregon.

This guy allegedly had his own place and he said he didn’t mind if Ariel wanted to crash him. Yet, Rorish did mind. Rorish hadn’t wanted Ariel to find herself in more trouble and her visitation from family services had proved to her that they weren’t going to be much help either. So Rorish had made an agreement with Ariel. She had asked Ariel to wait at the hospital until she could figure something out and Rorish came to regret making that decision. Especially once a new patient had been brought in after a failed attempt at exorcism.

The young woman that had been brought because her friends and loved ones had been believed her to be possess by the devil. Though Dr. Willis had merely thought that the young woman had contracted rabies. She hadn’t been able to make sense and she was thrashing around as if she was ready to attack. So it wasn’t that much of a surprise when the victim did hurt someone. She had bitten Heather on the wrist and so Heather had gotten a shot for rabies, but Patient Zero didn’t have rabies. She had Hemorrhagic fever and Willis had had to initiate the infectious disease protocol.

Hemorrhagic fever was highly contagious and it had already spread from Patient Zero’s. The patient’s friend began experiencing some of the symptoms and so the hospital had to be shut down. They didn’t allow anyone in or anyone out. But their phone call to the CDC ensured that the CDC took over. They had a doctor, Dr. Reed, that was put in charge and she had the infected and potential infected all moved to the Red Zone. So Patient Zero and her friend had to be strapped to gurney in order to comply and Heather meanwhile had just tried to plead from help.

Heather had asked Rorish not to be sent into the Red Zone yet Rorish hadn’t been allowed to help because of the circumstances. Heather had after all gotten beaten by Yolanda who was known to have infected her own friend Alicia. So the hospital’s chief concern was tracking down everyone that had been in contact with one if not both girls. However, the girls had been at the same store where the alleged exorcism took place and so Wilis along with Reed had to check the store out themselves. The two doctors had don protective gear and they had traveled to the store where they mostly found bodies.

It seems that several others had also gotten sick during the exorcism and by sheer luck the doctors had come across at least one person that was still alive. Yet, because of the infectious disease was so dangerous there hadn’t been much hope for those in the Red Zone. The CDC had to determine which strain of the disease that Yolanda had and the woman had remained incoherent to her death. So the doctors didn’t know what to do and they had an antsy hospital on their hands. There was Ariel that wanted to escape the new situation she found herself in and there had been others.

There had been Jeremy who had come in with his future father-in-law because it had been suspected the older man was suffering from a heart attack, but it turned out to be organ failure. Bill’s heart was failing and he had to be put on the donor’s list again. Though Jeremy hadn’t wanted something to happen to Bill without his fiancée being there for her father. So he managed to get his fiancée in as long as she wore protective gear and that allowed Anna to support her father seeing as he needed her.

But he wasn’t the only one that would need her. Anna’s fiancée Jeremy became one of the infected and he hadn’t been the only one that came up positive for the disease. Mario, Malaya, and also Elliot became parted of the infected. The doctors had been one of the first people to treat Yolanda and Alicia. So just being close to someone infected ran the risk of being the nest one sent to the Red Zone however the CDC were having no such luck with a cure and so more people started dying from the disease.

The friend Alicia had ran a temperature of 105. So it had been simply expected that she would die next and the doctors that were treating her had more or less written her because there was no other alternative available to them. However, things became personal for everyone when their own doctors became sick and Heather had flat-lined. The doctors though had been able to revive Heather and they would have gone on treating her if the CDC hadn’t made them stop. The CDC eventually decided that they would treat all the patients and so the doctors were thrown out of the Red Zone.

So the doctors were kindly being escorted out when Rorish saw that the guards were marching in new patients that had been tested positive and Rorish saw that Ariel had been one of the infected. Though there had been nothing that Rorish could do. The guards wouldn’t allow her to be with Ariel and the two had been forcibly parted. And so the doctors had just had to watch everyone die yet no one had been prepared for Heather’s death. They had hoped a cure would be found by then and they had been wrong.

And the worst part about what happened is that Yolanda hadn’t been Patient Zero because there was someone out there infecting everyone he came in contact with, but who had been infected long before Yolanda.

THE END!
