Days of Our Lives spoilers report that fan favorite Eileen Davidson has spoken out about her return to DOOL. The Young and the Restless viewers know Eileen Davidson as the sassy and beautiful Ashley Abbott who is always tangling up with someone in town of Genoa City.
Recently, Eileen Davidson sat down with Michael Logan from TV Insider and shared her thoughts on a Days of our Lives return. She stated “I am open to anything. I have extreme amounts of love for Salem and for my character, Kristen (DiMera), and feel very loyal to that show. But Y&R is my job right now and I wouldn’t ever want to do anything that pissed anyone off.”
During the interview, Eileen recounted the on-screen chemistry that she shared with Eric Martsolf who played the role of Brady on Days of our Lives. She added “Hey, I had a very good thing going with Eric and I never saw that one coming. I could never have predicted it. I didn’t know him, never auditioned with him, but we had fantastic chemistry, so who the hell knows?”
Certainly by the sound of her responses during this one-on-one with Mr Logan, Davidson would be completely open to re-joining the cast of Days of our Lives if TPTB at The Young and the Restless were okay with that.
Davidson also made a point of saying how happy she is working with cast on Young and Restless and at the moment has no intentions of leaving Genoa City. If the role of Ashley allowed her the time and if Days and Y&R wanted it, no doubt, Eileen would definitely welcome re-joining the cast of Days of our Lives.
As many longtime Days viewers will recall, Davidson was once a major part of the soap as she portrayed the role of Kristen Blake, later DiMera, way back in 1993. Of course, Days of our Lives viewers can remain hopeful that they will see Kristen back in Salem but for the time being it looks as if Davidson will continue to remain in Genoa City as Ashley Abbott. You can catch her weekdays on The Young and the Restless and don’t forget to come by CDL often for all the best Soap spoilers, news and updates on the web!
