Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Kristen (Eileen Davidson) will make a quick appearance next week. When it was announced that Davidson would be reprising her role as Susan, many DOOL fans suspected Kristen might pop up as well. Fortunately, it’s happening. Days just couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a brief Kirsten sighting.
A recent promo shows Kristen laughing maniacally in the room Susan set up for fake EJ. Susan convinced Will (Chandler Massey) that he’s her son as a way to cope with her grief. She’s not quite right upstairs anyway, but losing EJ really put her over the edge. Susan believes Dr. Rolf (William Utay) couldn’t revive her beloved boy, but he tweaked his methods and pulled it off with Will.
However, Dr. Rolf has brought numerous people back from the dead over the years. If Dr. Rolf had messed up on EJ’s revival, Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) probably wouldn’t have let him live to revive anyone else. Besides, Kristen injected the resurrection serum into EJ’s (James Scott) corpse. Dr. Rolf might’ve done something later, but it’s doubtful it was even necessary.
It seems like Dr. Rolf’s got it down to a pretty simple process. Inject something mysterious into a dead body and he or she comes back to life. There’s not a lot of room for error. Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Kirsten may make an interesting comment just before she departs again. Word has it that Kristen will allude to EJ being alive.
Of course, this isn’t all that surprising. Days wouldn’t have left his exit open-ended if they didn’t expect to bring EJ back one day. It’s possible that James Scott could return, even if it’s just for an episode or two.
If anyone could convince Scott to come back, it’s Ron Carlivati. DOOL’s head writer pushed for some big returns and Ken Corday, the show’s executive producer, helped make them happen. Maybe Scott will be added to the list at some point.
An EJ recast is also a possibility. Soap Central tweeted out a blind item that could apply to any of the four soaps. They noted that one daytime drama is recasting a major character who’s been MIA for a few years. That could certainly line up with EJ on Days of Our Lives.
Regardless, Kristen will probably laugh at the way she pulled one over on Sami (Alison Sweeney). Even if Days wants to hold off on an EJ return, it’s a good idea to let Kristen confirm that he survived. Carlivati might’ve decided he should remind us of the option while Davidson was around.
