Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jen Lilley is headed back to the NBC soap as Theresa. Ever since Ron Carlivati took over as DOOL’s head writer, Days fans have been wondering about the possibility of a Theresa comeback. Carlivati is obviously interested in major returns and Theresa seems like the sassy kind of character he’d want to write for.
Fortunately, the stars aligned and Days worked out a deal with Lilley. There’s no word yet on how long Lilley will be back for, but we’ll take whatever we can get. This is great news for several reasons. First of all, Theresa’s exit desperately needs to be fixed. It came with some gripping scenes and fantastic performances, but her actual departure left us with a horrible outcome.
Right now, Theresa is living in Mexico with a drug lord. She’s basically this guy’s sex slave until she can figure out how to bring him down. On top of that, Brady (Eric Martsolf) thinks Theresa is a lowlife who abandoned her child. She did it to protect her family, but it’s still awful!
The opportunity to resolve that mess sounds fantastic. Plus, Days of Our Lives spoilers say some new developments could add to the drama. Eve (Kassie DePaiva) and Brady are currently fierce rivals, but there’s a good chance this will lead to a romance.
What will Theresa think if she shows up and learns her sister is dating Brady? Bonus points if they’re in bed together when she arrives! Plus, Brady is a very different man these days. Theresa may be shocked by his cold heart. She used to be the ultimate bad girl, but Brady helped her find a better path.
If Brady’s not going to behave, there’s no reason for Theresa to. She may decide to just forget it and revert to her troublemaker ways. In fact, DOOL viewers don’t really know about Theresa’s mental state now. After everything she’s gone through, maybe Theresa’s already gone back to the dark side.
It’d fun to watch Eve and Theresa battle for Brady’s heart. Days of Our Lives will undoubtedly give us some awesome scenes down the road. You can check out Theresa’s comeback in May of 2018!
