The teams ride to their next destination and Giada appears on a screen in their TVs. She tells them teams of three will be going camping. While camping they will be tasked with making dishes from food items usually brought on camp outs. The contestant’s job is to transform classic camping food into something fresh and creative. She tells them to think glamping rather than camping. The teams are Matthew, Cory and Amy who will be making fried chicken, potato cakes and stuffing with vegetables. Jason, David and Cao will be making fried chicken, potato salad and baked beans. Trace, Rusty and Addie are making BBQ chicken, potato salad and soup in a bell pepper.

The teams have 90 minutes to make their meals for families who are a camping trip. The guest judges for this week are Andrew Zimmern and Melissa D’Arabian. They will be joining Giada as Bobby Flay is off for the week. Each team will have six minutes to demonstrate a tip on how to use a food item in an unexpected way.

All the teams struggle to put a new twist on their dishes. The teams are then given all of the ingredients in a s’more and are told to make a dessert using the ingredients that aren’t s’mores. The Cory team will make a chocolate mousse. Rusty’s team goes with Addie’s idea and will make s’mores bark but Rusty is concerned it isn’t changed enough. Jason’s team will make a s’mores trail mix. It is delicious and David has a bite not realizing there are peanuts in the dessert. He is horrible allergic and spits it out hoping he doesn’t do into shock.

Thankfully, David spit it out in time and he is OK. Jason’s team presents first and both David and Jason do a great job. Cao again has a hard time telling the audience what exactly she made. The judges’ love the taste of all the food made but Cao struck out with her presentation. Rusty’s team is up next and both Trace and Addie hit it out of the park with their presentation but Rusty sputters. None of the food wows the judges. Rusty’s chicken falls apart, Addie’s potatoes taste like canned potatoes and Trace’s soup is horrible. While the dessert tastes good it has not been transformed at all.

Cory’s team is the last to present and Matthew does well. As Abby starts her presentation Matthew thinks she needs help so he jumps in. Abby is not happy but he takes over and she doesn’t get to give her tip and even demo her dish. Cory offers a great tip and the judges are impressed. They presentation is over and the judges note that Abby hardly spoke. Giada realizes that Matthew took over but thinks Abby needed to speak up to get her time on camera. The judges enjoy the chicken, potato cakes and dessert but think Matthew’s stuffing is very greasy.

The teams return to the studio and learn which team is at the bottom. The team in first place is Jason, David and Cao. The team of Cory, Matthew and Amy are also safe. Rusty, Trace and Addie are at the bottom and one of them will be going home. The judges use the criteria of who has used the input received from the judges each week to improve and Trace is sent home.
