General Hospital (GH) spoilers sources imply that the Cassadines are not the only clan that has family members continuously rising from the dead; it appears that A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) has been able to sneak back into town unnoticed; and with nothing but revenge on his mind!
Long time GH fans, know that AJ Quartermaine supposedly died at the hands of Sonny Conrinthos (Maurice Benard) when he wrongly assumed that when Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) wrote A.J. in her blood, that she was talking about the Quartermaine heir when, in fact, it was Ava Jerome (Maura West) who had done the dastardly deed.
The one certain thing about General Hospital’s A.J. was he has a firm hatred of both Carly (Laura Wright) and her husband Sonny; he would do anything to destroy both of them; but it’s also obviously he has a personal vendetta against Ava, whose actions forced him to pay what should have been the ultimate price for Connie’s murder. When Sonny betrayed his word to his son, and believed he killed Michael’s biological father, his subconscious haunted him in the form of A.J.’s ghost many times; making him feeling incredibly guilty.
General Hospital fans were led to believe A.J. had truly died when we watched him being greeted by his beloved grandparents, Lila Quartermaine (the late Anna Lee), Edward (the late John Ingle), his sister, Emily (Natalia Livingston), and father Dr. Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon), the last scenes of the living A.J. we see are Emily telling him to come with her; she was leading him back to his body; knowing he had more living to do.
General Hospital spoilers report buzz that A.J. has been sitting in the same room as the very people he hates, without them even knowing it; he is back in Port Charles as Rudge (David Lee) after getting plastic surgery to mask his identity and return. Yes, this twist will blow your mind, but think about it for a moment… Rudge helped orchestrate the car bombing, that we had assumed was meant for Julian Jerome (William deVry).
He helped Liv St. John/Jerome (Tonja Walker) pin all of her actions on her baby half sister, Ava, who now sits in a jail cell on murder charges. One has to wonder, if this plan didn’t work better than most expected; especially for A.J. – it was his son, Michael Quartermaine Corinthos (Chad Duell) for Sonny’s son, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig). He could have never accomplished this without the help of Liv; so now he is indebted to her.
What about the take down of General Hospital? A.J. was the outcast of the family while Jason Morgan (Billy Miller now, Steve Burton then) was the protege; Jason the right-hand of a notorious mobster! Of course he would help Liv destroy that and have no problem abducting Laura Webber (Genie Francis) to ensure that happens; add the bonus of Liv being able to take away pretty much everything Jason loves: his pregnant wife, Sam (Kelly Monaco).
Everything Rudge has done so far, is exactly what A.J. Quartermaine would do in a heartbeat, so who is to say that he isn’t in fact A.J. in the flesh?
