Jeffreys portrayed Amanda Barrington on and off General Hospital from 1984 to 2004. Additionally, the actress also played on the spinoff daytime series Port Charles. Filming was not her only specialty. Known for her glamour, Anne was also an accomplished singer and appeared on Broadway.
The news of Anne Jeffries death came from reporter and Los Angeles-based Oscar host for KABC, George Pennacchio. He went to Twitter to alert Hollywood and beyond of the devastating news.
General Hospital spoilers surrounding Amanda were always juicy. The character was known for being a snobby socialite. However, the actress was anything but those things. Both fans and those in the entertainment business are grieving a great loss.
