General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that after the Nurses Ball, Jake Webber (Hudson West) will have lost the Chimera Project. Armed men bust into the ball on Friday working for a third party, likely Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), and they want the deadly canister. But Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is also there and the WSB wants the device back as well.
The bottom line is the Chimera doesn’t get released as Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) wanted and it winds up in other hands. While Helena might be dead and in the ground, she’s got her minion Costa (Eddie Davenport) haunting Port Charles. General Hospital spoilers reveal that Costa will linger and will come back to torment Jake for not following orders and releasing the Chimera.
As of now, Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) don’t know their son was ordered to unleash the Chimera to kill everyone in Port Charles. When we saw the flashback recently of Jason on Cassadine Island when Helena had Costa beat him, she mentioned that she “bought” Jason from Faison and she had other “resources.”
General Hospital spoilers tease that one of those resources is Jason’s son Jake, but he doesn’t know it. Once Jason, Liz, Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and Franco (Roger Howarth) found out Jake is a miniature trained assassin that was brainwashed by Helena to wipe out their city, they will be horrified. But what’s truly shocking is that the nightmare isn’t over. Helena had a fallback plan.
Helena always had a Plan B for her evil schemes because things inevitably can go wrong. That means Helena’s programming of Jake and Jason wasn’t limited to just one mission. And Costa is part of Helena’s insurance plan. With Costa creeping around Port Charles, there is still danger for Jake – and those that love him including Jason.
But it’s not only Jake that’s at risk because of Helena’s conditioning. Jason has no idea what secrets still lurk in his brain. Jason will have another disturbing flashback of Helena on Friday’s GH episode, May 26. Jason thought when the microchip was taken out of his brain that he’s fine and under his control but this seems to be the furthest thing from the truth.
While Costa is lurking and tormenting Jake, he might also trigger Jason with a code phrase like he triggered Jake. So long as Costa is still in Port Charles, Jake is at risk and so is everyone around him. Will Liz recognize Costa as the delivery man that dropped off the lethal magic kit? And how long will it take Liz to dig in and discover that Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) didn’t send the gift?
There’s also the more important underlying question of how deep does Jake’s programming go and how much is he capable of? New General Hospital spoilers for Tuesday, May 30 reveal Jake chooses sides, but will he choose the side of his darker nature that Helena taught him – or to be the good kid his mom and dad encourage him to be?
